I Normally play as the predator and I have noticed if you kill a fire team member and they get sour about it and drop out you dont get the credit for that its frustrating to deal with…

Yup, kills shuld count regardless is they stay in game or quit like babys. Happens to me quite often tbh - FT leavs after I claim one of them.
