No pink Fire Team indicator??

Hey all. I just played a few games as the Predator and for some reason when I scanned the area there was no pink Fire Team indicator bubble. It legit made hunting for them quite difficult and by time I located them they already had the Chopper inbound.

This has happened to me quite a bit on several occasions. I’ll scan for the fire team and nothing…

Anyone know what could be going on??

Thanks in advance.

The whole team is mudded up, that’s why.

Good for the pores!

Ohhhh really? I didn’t know that the mud will hide the indicator. Thanks for the reply.

Usually I’ll move into the map a bit then scan. Looks like I should scan right away to get an idea where they are before they mud up.

Wait till the clock hits about 14:10. That’s a good time to use target iso. Mud is just fading enough by that time.

They mud up as soon as possible. When they do, target isolation doesn’t spot them. So here’s my tip, look at the time on top. As soon as that time goes down, they landed and didn’t mud up yet. So use target isolation then or you’ll be wandering the map until they forgot to mud up. If Somehow they do mud up, just look for signs such as:

-birds flying in the distance, indicating fireteam scared them. (I never look for this, but it’s there.)
-sound indicators, not alot of fireteam use silencers, especially the new players.
-glimmers of heat. In the distance, If your close enough, you can see them running with heat vision, it only works if your close by.

Scan when you first can as they’ll be tagged no matter what because they’re getting off the chopper at that point. Alternatively you’ll know where they are because the FT spawns opposite of you. If you use hunter with the tracker specialization you’ll never have to worry about them being mudded up and showing up on target iso because tracker sees through it and will mark them regardless.

Yeah it’s good for the pores and you’ll also never see them coming.

Awesome. Thanks for the tips! 👍🏻

Don’t rely on it. Reserve it for bigger maps (air strip, excavation, headquarters) and make a habit of listening for sound queues.

Sound is so important on this game for both Predator and Fireteam. Get a headset. Turn off the in-game music. And listen. You’ll start hearing gunshots very soon, either from AI, Fireteam or both, and that will give you a good sense of where they are without wasting target isolation, which you will probably need right after the first engagement to locate boars. Boars also make sound but are harder to find without target isolation.

I’ve got a headset that I use with COD. Great idea to use it for isolating sound and helping with the hunt. I had a game earlier and heard gunfire but I couldn’t tell where it was coming from. Lol.

If it gets louder, you are heading in the right direction

No, don’t ever rely on scanning for anything but boars. If you play conservatively you’ll always have what you need when you need it.

Instead you should immediately be heading to the opposite or middle-ish areas of the map from where you spawn. You’ll run into FT more often than not.

Also, try to focus on sound to track FT. You’ll not only be hearing gunshots after about a minute 99% of the time, but they make a lot of noise whenever they do anything considering they fucking announce what they’re doing lol. They also pant a lot, and run out of stamina a lot.

14:00-13:50 gets them 100% of the time I’ve used it. Good advice.

I only do for the defense boost. Other builds I’d rather the pred come sooner than later, and focus on me.

As soon as you hit the floor, go into heat vision and do the scan immediately when it pops.

Yup! That’s what I’ve been doing and it helps tremendously! Gets me started in the right direction right away.
