Just like the motorcycle katana scene and horse combat in 3. All people really want out of modern movies and shows is cool choreography and memorable scenes. But this is rare now because everyone’s out of ideas & its easier to jumpcut 100 times and cgi everything instead of doing your own stunts.

The director himself came out and said naru goes against gender norms , so did the first official synopsis.

Tony pope maybe went too far with the brown nose comment , but you would think you would have learned from PHG itself .
Star wars and marvel were the worst examples you could have used , they are clearly dropping in quality and more agenda driven.

I think everyone can agree we are gonna go with low hopes and expectations, for we don’t wanna have the same thing going into 2018. However it’s really hard not to feel excited when 1.) it got a standing ovation. 2.) people who are hard on the Predator suddenly became fans of the movie because it met their check boxes. 3.) NECA announced they are making the Feral Predator.
It’s really hard to not get excited, I’m just glad I don’t have to spend money for me and the family to go watch a hit or miss movie and instead I could watch it myself first.
Feminism and American indians , that was the selling point . Usually if its box ticking they promote a movie with? It usually sucks.
I wouldn’t be suprised if the yautja action is decent , maybe even great , but I won’t turn a blind eye to any shit in-between and settle for the eye candy .
A movie is a movie , as a whole .
Thats why I won’t say AVPR is a good movie , sure it has some fun yautja scenes , but the rest of that movie totally fucking blows .

The bar for either of these is so low that it is nonexistent
To be honest, I think this movie will be much, much better than AVPR and 2018. The amount of positive reviews and hype, and just looking at the available footage, there’s no way it can be worse, or as bad. I don’t think it’ll be “the best since the original”, but probably the best since Predator 2, or Predators at least.

The first review of prey i looked at , and I quote “we finally got a great predator movie , not since the first one” , I’m even more skeptical because predator 2 is almost on par with the 87 movie

So true! Predator 2 may take second place but it was so ahead of its time that it is definitely On par with the original. Maybe because it has better graphics or such they are saying it🤷🏻
