Does this drop in crates as well? Or is it locked to progression?

Might be possible. Ive gotten predator trophy’s from a crate. That were far beyond my level to buy.
it unlocks at level 250. rarest thing from crates that you can get is jungle hunter mask, predator trophies, and fireteam knife shaders

The predator trophies look a little too small tbh
Even accounting for the scale of the predator, the trophies are comically small
i actually get quite a few legendary drops somehow, but they’re usually only shaders for weapons or crap.
most valuable thing ive gotten from one of those crates is the Prehistoric Mace trophy, which i dont think you can earn by leveling up. im pretty sure its only unlockable via crate
