The reason why successful detonation = win for predator is it denies the OWLF the preds body and tech and preserves the pred’s honor at the same time preventing the fireteam from completing their missions… There’s a reason why you get a chance to disarm the bomb. One last chance to win. Risk/reward. If the game was a deathmatch without objectives you could make up whatever head-canon you wanted.
