So, I run CombiStick and Smart Disc both in a thrown fashion.
Turns out you can destroy the Smart Disc if you shoot it.
Which probably means you can destroy the Combistick as well after it being thrown. Both high damage weapons. If this is the case I want much higher payouts for landing hits.

I really do not want to play Fortnite: Hunting grounds. I hate the cheese plasma caster peek-a-boo shit.

But yeah…this is a complete destruction to what I run and how I run it.
Why not run the bow? Because it’s fucking useless. If I land a hit I want it to matter.

Tottaly with you on this! Combistick is not destroyable just now, but I think it shuld be, however, succesfull hit with disc or combi while thrown shuld be a instant kill. This would give us a high reward = high risk weapons to go with, quz as you said - plasma castaer is shit unleas you play like a clown

We tested that theory weeks ago. We always destroy the smart disc if it gets stuck. Combistick cannot be destroyed.

Fully agree that the disc should not be destroyable. What kind of a decision was that?! Punishing the predator for choosing a particular weapon? Amazing this decision made it in the game.

Bow is a fantastic weapon though. I can see if you’re on console you might think that due to how hard it must be to aim but on pc it’s solid. Still takes practice but no way would I not use it.

in regards to gameplay balancing i think making them destroyable is good… but in regards to the movie lore the second movie they anylyzed the metal in the predator spike thingy that was stuck in the wall and it was indestructable during testing…

if you throw a combi stick i think the FT should be able to pick it up on a shitty throw and use it. The alien technology is supposedly resistant to even alien acid so I don’t think FT can destroy it.

that’s the most stupid thing I’ve ever heard… our material is indestructible by feeble bullets and is only mainly destructible by Alien acid… if they make the stick destructible it’s going to be a disaster

Imo the disc should not be able to be destroyed, played a match the other day where I threw the disc at the FT below me (they didn’t know where I was but the AI did) and it was destroyed mid air by the AI. Pretty much ran around the whole match using only the club and PC it was so damn annoying.

I think a cool mechanic would be for the FT to be able to pick up pred tech i.e. arrows, combistick, disc. If they’re able to extract with it they all get extra XP/veritanium however if they pick up anything the predator would know where that FT member is at all times. I think it could add a lot more play styles to the game like being able lure the predator into a trap by using someone as bait or having a FT member get greedy and take a weapon and inadvertently screw the whole team.

If you had a decent upbringing and went to an at least average public school you’d be able to comprehend that I don’t like the METHOD in how the Plasma Caster is used.

If I wanted to play peekaboo while shooting bunny hopping targets I’d play Cheesenite.

I used 4 assault rifle mags to shoot a combistick and it didn’t get destroyed or anything. Myth busted =))
If it can be destroyed lemme know cause I couldn’t destroy it.

Like in The Predator movie? Gotcha. But it requires a whole different level of coding and animation process.
And we barely have the skeleton of a product atm. Maybe in 2 or 3 years new things will be added, as in mechanics, animations and so on…if the game is still around tbh.

If the Smart disc is destructible…I want MUCH better handling and speed on the weapon. I understand that the situation you DONT want is for a predator to be able to down an entire FT remotely…and not just at range. I get it. The preator is his not “out of range” but truly hidden an using the smart disc at no risk.
However with it’s current iteration being a very hard weapon to primary…and use as an opener it doesn’t need to be destructible.
I am trying to gain proficiency with the smart disc…because I really want to primary it so BAD.

ITT: OP learns smart disc is awful. No point in trying to git gud with it when you could just throw the combistick for the same effect and 1/5th of the effort. Also the melee damage on it is 15. 15!

Should’ve just gone for an avp2010 smart disc and made it crap in the open but bounce off walls indoors before returning. There now predator has the indoor weapon he desperately needs.
The slow loudass glowing flying destroyable vaccum cleaner that only does as much damage as a thrown combistick is an awful take on the weapon. Fireteam sprint outruns it lol. Plus pred throwing it and having to be completely stationary steering it around is plain dumb. No idea why someone thought this was a good idea.
