Having realism in the game isn’t bad at all, I understand. Its just that when it comes to very small things like beefing up sound design to make it better in some areas is not bad. Sounds for M16s and SCAR to fit with their realistic counter part makes sense cuz these are weapons based on actual existing ones. With Isabelle’s rifle, there is more wiggle room as the weapon itself is modified by fictional means, therefore you can mess with the boundaries of sound design a bit to fit that theme itself. Basicly, if it makes sense and doesn’t conflict with the overall tone of the game, then it shouldn’t be a huge game ending problem.
Sides, if we were to keep it real realistic, most of these weapons would one shot Predator or Fireteam in a heartbeat that this game would be just plain unjust, like Predator heads exploding from .50 caliber bullets from sniper rifles or one shot by a single uncharged plasmacaster bolt.
Overall, I get where your coming from in the overall point of view of the game, just simply that in this specific case, we could have some more freedom in making sound for Isabelle’s fictional technologically enhanced sniper rifle based on Predator tech, well sound better. Hell, I still want the sound fx of the Plasmacaster from the first film as that sounds so goddam powerful that it makes the current one feels flaccid in comparison. Oh well! Cheers bro!
