I came upon an image while searching for images of the original alien creature HR giger designed and I found one of his with some fan art that someone else 3D modeled and it occured to me something…
…There are bits of this image such as the tail that incorporates an extra entity. To me this illudes to the idea that if you dismember THIS monster that it might grow into something else. Much like in John Carpenters The Thing and much like how Ridley Scott mentions that if you cut off an arm, that it would evidentantly grow back another arm, but what happens to the dismembered thing is left to the imagination.
I sure wish this early adaptation is explored somehow in the future.
It makes the creature more of an ever changing organism, everlasting. Rather than just calling it ‘perfect’ it really should be Godzilla like. If you remember SHIN Godzilla means “new”, “true”, “belief”, or “heart”. It literally means that interpreting this is saying that original designs are something to remembered and built upon. Shin Godzilla did so, by the end of that film, by showing us that there is a ‘tail’ yet to be told.
