Nice idea with reasonable rules except for the victory conditions in my opinion.
Just one remark regarding the XP pool as the winning criteria:
Instead of the XP pool, especially predators should be rewarded for eliminating the fireteam as fast as possible, i.e. summing up remaining time. If you eliminate a fireteam quickly, you get less XP. Maybe, you can add up remaining time in addition to XP.
Simplified example for illustration:
- Predator P1 eliminates 3 fireteams in 5 minutes and only scores 4000 XP each, resulting in 3 x 4000 victory points = 12000 victory points.
- Predator P2 struggles in eliminating fireteams. P2 just barely succeeds in preventing 1 fireteam from escaping but scores 14000 XP, resulting in 14000 victory points.
These results would claim that P2 wins instead of P1. However, I clearly consider P1 as the better superior predator player especially if they fought against the same fireteams.
Considering remaining time on the other hand favors aggressive playstyle and rewards eliminating of fireteams instead of just preventing escapes.
