Depending on the availability of everyone the tournament may be extended over a few weekends. The way I designed it is not by elimination but by scoring, so each team will play each pred one time and the score goes to a board for whoever wins. That gives us some flexibility with organization, specially when sometimes matches simply don’t work very well from the first time because of disconnections, crashes, bugs, etc.

Very important simce I detect some confusion… The fireteam is a team, not an individual player. The whole team will scored. Choose your team wisely and remember to play for the team and not recklessly for yourself.

Yes I agree , but I’ll go back to alpha , maybe hunter , or could always just use the disc scout build which I think is gonna be the dead ringer for this …… quick and disc is awesome damage anyways

Good method, when I was trying to plan it out my biggest hang up was some of the best pred players are hybrids that I figured would want to play FT. I didn’t want to lock them into one or the other but I also knew they would eventually get to a point where they had to play their own team I couldn’t decide how to balance that out fairly.

Yeah I changed that rule cause I figured some of the best players would want to play both sides. It will affect their score, but not that much. And the more participants the less it will affect.

So far we have around 13 people on the tournament discord, so… Looking good

None of my FT and Pred builds comply with the rules. I literally had to make builds specific for the tourney. But that’s part of getting out of one’s comfort zone

We have already played a few private matches and it feels good. Like the skill gap between players is smaller

To those skeptical about it, just try it. Gather some friends and play a few privates yourselves. You might be surprised

I got several more interested , I really want to help support if I can get schedule to coincide . I’ll try both pred and fireteam but I’m not good at fireteam at all .

please join the discord if you are interested. Invite is open to everyone so you can share it with your friends. There we have all the rules and we can better organize teams. I suggest everyone to pick people they know or join us during night time (USA) for practice to get the hang of it and check who you feel more comfortable playing with.

I for one, enjoy more playing with people closer to my skill rather than playing with people who are far better than me. Even if that means I will likely lose, I honestly don’t care.

Think of this “tournament” more of a timed ranking system than an actual “world championship”
