Old rework post, ignore. (Fresh post linked)

Under no circumstances should there be any degree of invincibility or damage reduction based on an animation in progress, especially in regards to attack animations. If anything, concentrated fire on Preds should knock them out of quick claim animations. Quick claims also should only be applicable to dead humans, not Fireteam members in a downed/bleedout state.

Also, stealth kills should apply as they currently are implemented. Giving the Predator immediate access to stealth kills from beginning of the match is absurd.

Complaints about the Fireteam mudding up- Seriously? It’s a game. We know what’s going on. Don’t expect the FT to be easy targets for Preds just because they haven’t made contact yet. How would that realistically even apply past a first encounter anyway? What, everyone loses their memory as soon as the match is over? Get over it.

I’ve seen far too many whiny ass posts from crap players maining Pred that expect to just wade through the Fireteam without even using stealth. They are not offering anything useful to the discussion. They refuse to learn to play effectively as Preds and get mad because they don’t get near god mode style cheats enacted as being standard gameplay. I’ve literally seen the same poster make 2 separate false claims on these forums that Fireteam members are hacking or gameplay is bugged. The video they post as “proof” just shows a lazy idiot playing as Pred getting his ass handed to him because he’s a moron. It would be laughable if there weren’t plenty of others echoing these kinds of complaints. Paying money to buy a game doesn’t give you a free pass to fk it up for everyone else. If playing a strategic shooter is too much for anyone they should go back to playing mobile clicker games or Farmville on Facebook. Buncha fkn pansies tbh, it’s disgusting.

Good point. But we absolutely cannot make the assumption that there wont be players to overabuse the. Resources by all running the same things.

The point of removing the two heavy sniper rifle suppressors is to make them true glass cannons, solidifying their role.

As is the removal of all cqb sights on them.

I agree close range damage removal should be removed. The removal of smaller sights is the better way to limit them up close, so that it requires skill to hit head/mask shots.

I agree? Dont know why you keep saying random things and speaking without argument. Kinda awkward. If you have something constructive to say, please do so. Otherwise, dont taint the thread with things everyone already knows. Sorry to be rude but still.

The fact that you can see pred leaping around from tree to tree right now makes spotting him not even necessary as you can track him consistently, unless he jumps hundreds of meters away.

However, this specific thing will not always be the case. If preds invis has been disrupted for any reason, be it shooting plasma caster, running on the branch. Etc, then that disruption will carry through to the jump

I agree. After all of the things people have said about the stealth kills. Im much more on the fence about them. I will relook at the concept later. However as they are now, is fully retarded. Why would pred stealth kill someone after hes blasted them down 4 times?

Personally, i could care less about the mudding up. It doesnt bother me right now. Its more for just making the gameplay a bit more lore friendly.

However I disagree. Each match is its own thing, as far as the lore goes. No one remembers the predator because in the context of each match, theyve never fought the predator. Obviously this isnt the case out of the game. Otherwise the owlf would not take over the mission once they kill the predator, as they do now. No one knows the pred is in that jungle.

Still, thats just nit picking. And I did say that not every single change in this guide is necessary.

Edit

Just wanted to say, remember, realism isnt the entire point of all of these changes. The point is gameplay balance. So when it comes to things such as sniper rifles, I could care less that in real life you can technically slap a holo sight on a Barret 50 cal.

Thank you though for critiquing my post on every point you saw fit. Glad to have someone argue points when they can.

maybe add in if you kill the soldier you take their vibranium

i never use heat vision i only use it to hear sounds

There is probably nothing I would disagree with … Good work I like it a lot

have you ever noticed that sometimes leap doesn’t work well, pressing leap button doesnt activate the action even if stamina is full?

Yes there are tons of issues with leaping.

Yes, something definitely needs to be done about that. As well as the leaps that start, but for some reason they leap less than they need to so you just kinda fall

I agree with this so much thats fuckin awesome ideas for Balance Rework. nice job!

I have a suggestion for your balance topic

I’ve played pretty much as ft now. And the weapons don’t have any recoil at all, so it would be good if they increased it a bit, what do you think?

For me they have plenty of recoil. But because I main pred and there arent seperate sensitivity sliders, I havent ever played with a tuned sens on FT

But I can understand where you are coming from. Its not enough to really make a huge impact.

Yeah you’re right, its not shooting simulator at all 😁

Have some more suggestions. The predator needs a zoom in option with the ability to scan FTs and reveal what perks they are using (and maybe also health status) for more tactical approaches. Having that will encourage more stalking and planning. Also, having some kind of damage counter on each FT to see which one does the most damage to you would also be nice for letting you know more which one is the most capable/worthy prey ;)
