On Advantages and Equipment.

Weights of Advantages and Equipments Points need to be removed !!!

According to the FT Soldier Class, and according to the Predator Class, we have a Maximum Number of Advantages and Equipment that they can use in Combat during Huntings and Confrontations.

So far, Tudo Bem !.
But if, for example, the Soldier has the capacity to have 15 Advantages, the Right thing is that he has 15 Advantages !!!. Not only 3 Advantages with Weight 5.

Or, if the Soldier has the ability to take 6 Equipment, he has to take 6 Equipment !!!. Not just 2 or 3.

Weights should be Unitary. So that we can freely choose which equipment will be added to the soldier.

For example:
A Support Soldier.
His in-game description is:
“Soldier with a full arsenal, always ready for more violent combat. Although slower, this class can take it and do more damage.”
He can take 15 pieces of equipment with him, but they have only 6 advantages.

As we can choose only 3 equipments, and 3 advantages, it is limited !!!.

There is a contradiction here. If he is a Soldier with Full Arsenal, we should be able to use at least 1 Equipment from each one that the Game offers Today.
The game has 11 pieces of equipment.
And the Support Soldier can use 15.

I hope I’m being clear.

Regarding the Advantages.
Still taking the Support Soldier as an example.
As he can only have 6 Advantages, it is ridiculous that they have a score.
Due to the Characteristics of this Class, if the Points were Unitary, this class would be Very Good with the following Advantages:

  • Lacerator
  • Accelerated
  • Ruin of the Yautjas
  • Persistent
  • Athlete’s breath
  • Quick Release

Because, “Lacerator” and “Ruin of the Yautja” would help you to Increase Damage against AI and against Predator. “Persistent” would allow him to be knocked down again before he dies - and having a soldier of this class on the team is very useful - “quick release” and “accelerated” would help him to not in the matter of being slower, avoiding a slow movement, and taking too long to reload your Weapon.
Finally, “Athlete’s Breath” would help you with the issue of resistance.

So, you’re asking for more Space for Gear and Perks?

Technically yes.

It is that currently, due to the Weights of the Equipment and because of the Advantage Points, we are limited to having only 3 Equipment and 3 Advantages.

It would be better if we could freely choose the amount of equipment and what advantages to use, according to the FT Soldier Class or Predator Class.

Respecting the number of Equipment and Advantages that each Class has.

For example:

The “Attack” Class Soldier.
It can take 10 Equipment.

The Ammo Bag and Medical Kit have a Weight of 5.
If You put the Medical Kit and the Ammo Bag, You already reach the Equipment Limit that the “Attack” Class can take from Equipment (10).

What I am saying would be ideal, was that each Equipment had Unit Weight.

In this example that I gave, the Ammo Bag and the Medical Kit would be weighted 1. It would still be possible for the “Attack” Soldier to take 8 more Equipment.
Or if you wanted to equip the “Attack” Soldier with 2 Medical Kits and 2 Ammo Bags, 6 more Equipment could still be added.

Same thing for the Advantages.
The Attack Soldier has 9 Advantages.
If each had a Unit Score, there would be 9 Advantages that could be selected from the 25 that the Game provides.

Well, now you’re practically breaking the game at that point since the Ammo Bags and Health Kits take up 5 Points of “weight” for a reason. Health Kits are practically a FULL RESTORE of Health 3 times over before one of the Kits is used up. And you get 2 of these things in Hunt, making it 6 Full Heals Over. Ammo Bags do a similar thing as even 1 charge of the Ammo Bag’s 3 Charges can give a starving FT member enough ammo for an emergency engagement.

Yes, but to use both the Medical Kit and the Ammo Bag, the FT Soldier lets his guard down.
And the Predator has an Advantage to Attack.

The advantage of doing this that I am suggesting is that it allows the FT Soldier to use the other Equipment as well.

Field Applicators, Stun Grenades, Fragmentation Grenades, Smoke Grenades, Anti-Camouflage Impact, Etc.

If there is one thing that bothers me, it is gaming with Game Limitations.

For example, this anti-camouflage grenade is great to use when going to extraction. It’s the Predator’s last chance to Eliminate the FT. If you use this Grenade, and the Team still has 4 Living Members, the chance of Avoiding Predator Attacks is much greater.

But tell me, are you going to use this Weight Grenade 3 or are you going to use the Weight Field Applicators 4 ?.
Very few players have used this Granada.
Just notice the quicks matches.

Well, if you find the healing FT Player, shoot the Bag, not the Player. You’d destroy the Suppiles and even give a freshly healed FT Member some damage as punishment.

There are limitations, I agree that they may be, well, limiting, but they are there for a fundamental reason, to play in a team. No one should be able to carry everything and be a one man army.

Surely the Assault isn’t expected to solely carry the essential Health and Ammo supplies the (hypothetically balanced) party needs. The Support can do it since he is the most tanky FT Class and can carry both of them without limiting the slow play style of the Support. Otherwise, it has to be divided up by the other, less durable players who are playing other classes. If everyone was allowed to carry the best items for the team for practically free, Predator would be powerless to effectively deal damage.

This message came from the future right? Because I have no idea what your talking about with perks that don’t exist and advantages?

I think he’s using a translator. He’s talking gear and perks.

It boils down to he wants unlimited slots for gear, but the weight is per item. So the 3 frags that cost 3 now cost 1 per frag. etc. This he fails to see how it goes against playing as a team.

And for perks, he all perks to cost 1, so the support with 6 points can have 6 perks. But he doesn’t see how that can make one person overpowered, unless they nerf all the perks into uselessness to make them match their cost.

He’s new here and doesn’t want to play Predator, he wants to play CoD with Predators.

So he’s predicting the future :P

Fireteam needs absolutely nothing more. Nothing. It’s time to balance the game a bit better regarding 1 vs 4 . 1 being a broken and weak predator, and 4 being OP super soldiers.

So what your saying is you want your double time scout to carry helth bags, Med kits, and self revive.

Ehmm… No!

Or how about this combo, all 4 fire team carrying health, med kits, and self revive. Fuck outta here.

But that is exactly where the problem is.

In Quick Matches, Player’s usually use the same FT Classes.

It would be nice if each Squadron had a different Class, and avoided repetition.

I believe that Team Play is what makes the Game Experience better.
But there are Equipment and Advantages that are suitable for All Classes.

If you have a more prepared soldier, the chance of success is much greater.

The point is that I think that the majority that responded to the Comment thought at first that I wanted more Equipment and Advantages only for FT. But the idea also works for Predators.

Friend, you got me wrong.

I do not want equipment and unlimited advantages.

I wish that the Quantity of Equipment and Advantages could be used according to the quantity that each Class of Predator and FT allows.

The equipment goes according to the Need, and according to the Class of FT or Predator.
But the Perks, I think it’s ridiculous to have 25, and we can only use 3 per Soldier or 3 per Predator.

I think that would be better for the whole team.
You work as a team. But you can’t depend on others All the Time in a Survival Game.
So much so that when a Soldier is Killed, the voice of “Zeus” speaks to proceed with the Mission.

Same thing in the movie Predators (2010). Some there worry about saving others, and they die.
Very cool to work as a team. But I have to guarantee myself first before I think about helping others.

Do not you agree?.

No. This is not what I mean.

The Attack Soldier can take 10 Equipment;
Recognition, 8; The Scout, 6 and the Support, 15, Right ?.

If at least the Support Soldier and the Attack Soldier each carry 1 Medical Kit and 1 Ammo Bag, Everyone can use Field Applicators and Resuscitation Applicators.

But, there will still be space left to take the Grenades, the Thermal Decoy, the Vant Detector.

One thing they have in CoD that they don’t have in PHG, which would be much better, is the fight against other players, and not against a lot of AI.

The CoD Warzone Map is Huge !.
And the Military Arsenal of the Game, is Absurdely Superior to that of PHG.

But then I’m comparing Very Different Greatness Games.
But even then, some CoD ideas can be added in PHG.

Everything to improve the game, don’t you agree ?.

I’ll agree that a balanced team (For Example Assault or D87 or D25/Recon/Support/Scout) would pretty much be the game at work.

When a few friends of mine created a Tournament where Fireteam Players had to pick one class and stick to it so that no 2 instances of the same class would be in the team, so like I posted above would face the Predator. (This was before Dutch '87 and every player had to use a different Gun so it was even more balanced to the point of leaning.)

It played pretty well. Maybe I’ll support a Class separated Queue skin to what Overwatch does where you must select your Role (Damage/ Tank / Support), but that would be pretty complicated for every single class/sets of Classes that preform relatively the same with some known differences, take the 2 Dutches for example.

I won’t lie, I actually kinda want some things from COD to come over to Predator since It’d appeal to the common fan and provide content, like a Prestige System or some free weapons (like O.W.L.F Pitbull or finally a New Ranaged Pred Weapon). There have already been leaks for a Map twice the size of a regular map, so that’s happening.

I wholeheartedly disagree. If you protect your teammates first, they should do so in return. And which is better, one person protecting you (Yourself) or four people?

For the FT, this should be first and foremost a team based game. If you lose a team member, it shouldn’t be fine, it should be an issue. With 3 perks an FT that makes at most 12 perks. Which means that you won’t be seeing every perk every match. By giving it a maximum, you have to choose your perks carefully. You know, think, use your brain, plan around your strengths or cover for your weaknesses. You can’t just take all the best perks all the time.

You have 25 to choose from, that way you have plenty of options to spend those three slots on. It a pick and choose rather than take everything. And see what your team is bringing as well, so you don’t double up on perks that affect the whole team.

The best thing that they could do is remove ALL perks from the game for both sides. Perk systems always cause more problems than they do create better gameplay.

In hunt, that’s what the Pred is for, the reason for the game. If you want FTvFT go play clash.

I don’t think making the map huge is going to solve the problem. Because the FT can mud up to hide from the scan, and the reinforcements and exfil are short time windows. The Pred already has a hard enough time as is getting to the FT. And the guns are either nearly identical (Which is just clutter in a game like this) Or strictly better (Which is bad in a game like this). CoD has always had a bad gameplay design, but its popular, so people keep buying it.

You are comparing very different levels of money and resources. If you want to play CoD, go play CoD. Don’t turn a game that isn’t CoD into CoD.

Yes, everything to Improve the game. Not diminish it.
