I would not play on anything less than 55 inches. where do you get 43 from’? Thats going to be like 300 bucks CAD. 55 inchers are so much cheaper than for the 1000$ i got mine for 4 years ago.
I got an LG too.

Screen size is directly related to viewing distance. The closer you are, the smaller screen you want. Otherwise the image begins to look pixelated. This is the whole “retina display” concept from Apple. Depending on viewing distance, resolution takes less importance as your eyes simply cannot distinguish the pixels.

That’s why 8K displays are so big. A 65 inch 8K monitor would look identical to a 65 inch 4K monitor from the typical viewing distance.

I have a 55 inch 4K TV in my living room. About 12 feet from the couch. From that distance, HD and 4K is indistinguishable. I’ve put the same movie on both formats and can’t tell the difference from one another. If I sit closer, I do see the difference.

I actually can’t do PHG at 4k so I actually play it windowed at 1080p.however i play my PS4pro at 4k fullscreen on the same TV at the same distance I am at with it on the table. ITs a matter of the frame rates really. If your machine can’t do 4k at 30+fps don’t bother playing at full 4k.

My thought on 8K:
The fact that PS5 spec wise can do 8K is still up in the air with most devs (upscaling still means its not 8k) and its probably the biggest selling points. 8K TVs aren’t even affordable at the moment.
I can’t even hazard a guess when that will be.

WTF I didn’t even know 8k was a thing 😞

ps4 doesn’t do 4k either. all games are rendered at HD or FHD and upscaled. Is mathematically impossible for the hardware on PS4 to render every pixel at 4K even at 30 FPS

Hell, even most PC GPU’s don’t really render every pixel at 4K 60FPS. That’s the whole deal behind the teraflops and the NVIDIA DLSS
