OWLF EXFIL

I know there’s been a lot of threads on OWLF Recordings, but I didn’t want this feedback request to be buried in a sea of comments.

We know that the Fire Team ONLY gets credit for them upon a successful EXFIL; however, if FT kills the Predator and defends the body successfully without dying the OWLF Recordings in our possession should be unlocked.

It makes zero sense to slay a Predator with recording in-hand as the chopper comes to retrieve the body and not unlock it. In theory the FT would be extracted too. So we should not loose credit for finding the recording.

Another issue is FT members extracting with Recordings and either we already found said recording so nothing’s unlocked or that OWLF Recording just didn’t get counted for some reason? We should not be able to pickup recordings we’ve already discovered.

@Courier please ask devs to make this minor change because it makes logical sense to do so. And to remedy the second bug of not getting credit for recordings we’ve filed with.

I agree, I didn’t realize at first that killing the Pred prevented me from keeping them and feel it should be changed. You won after all.

I’ve only got 3 left to get and I have unlocked them both when we have captured the predators body and when I have survived the blast radius. Also a couple of them playing as pred.

I don’t understand why we have to escape with them. They’re already rare enough as it is, why add an extra condition to keep them? It’s the same problem that people had with Pamela tapes in Friday the 13th. Super rare but you lost them if you died. If you have idiots as teammates then you can likely kiss that tape goodbye.

They must have changed it then, because in the past we have killed and secured the Predator and kept the tapes we found. I unlocked all mine early before the Dutch update, but teammates were still able to keep their tapes in this scenario. Did they mention changing the requirements in the patch notes?

The best way to find and secure OWLF tapes is running solo Private matches. They spawn more frequently, you can cheese the missions AND farm between 3000-4500 VT a match plus you keep the tapes with no worries about a skull hungry Predator player. I know some players find this abhorrent, but it truly is the only way to get them all and get them fast.

I missed out on 2 tapes due to killing the predator instead of going to the exfil site
