OWLF Log#16 Discussion, Spoilers Inside.

This is about OWLF Log 16, titled “Dutch’s Run In”. The one where he and his team are attacked by a Female Predator in a battle taking place in a totaled village. This battle results in which he is the only survivor on his side, leaving him heavily wounded and the Predator leaving.

However, I have noticed something that interests me. In the Log, Peter describes the Predator in question as wearing Ornate, Egyptian armor. This set off an alarm as that as far as I know, the only Predator known to have Egyptian Armor was Nightstorm.

(Brief history lesson. Nightstorm was a Kenner Predator Figure from the old days. NECA revamped him and gave him a new story. A Super Predator who disregarded the rules of the honor system that Predators normally follow and kick started the war that we’ve seen only a skirmish in on the 2010 flim, “Predators”. He too also adorned Egyptian Armor and stylized weaponry.)

My question is, was this intentional? To half reference Nightstorm and to bring Bad Bloods/Super Predators into the story once again, or this is a entirely separate character?Would be pretty cool to hear from

Predator are know to live only through a bit more 1500 to 2000 years unfortunately nigthstorm is 4000 years I doubt it would have been still alive around that time more likely if he was marked as a bad blood like the rest of the super predator subspecies but it could one of his descendants for sure IF she act like the super predator of the movie.

Also how do you get owlf record I really struggle for that

It’s most certainly possible considering many Predator characters have lived possibly as long or even longer. Clan Leader, or if you want to push it to extended universe, Serpent Hunter.

Also, you can find OWLF Records in the maps in many hidden places. I found one by running along a cliff side on Overgrown by the Guerilla River Camp where the Snipers line up at during certain objectives. (Near Construction Zone Spawn/Exfill, walk through the temple route towards the River Camp, walk up grassy steps, and soon you’ll find a cliff side you can walk upon. Go forward until you find a rock that either can have a OWLF Recording, or maybe some money.)

It’s quite possible. I honestly feel like their first big DLC will be for Predators, as they have three Predator cosmetics to make.

Super Predator Group? If they don’t want to make Class Clones that work properly right off the bat, I can definitely see Cosmetics such as Berserker’s Mask making it into the game. I’m just counting the days until Wolf’s Mask gets included in by popular demand.

PHOTO OF NIGHTSTORM: This is a good start to a new lineage or class of Predators for the Anniversary. I hope they don’t dissappoint us by using the same female pred body type. But the super predator class would be savoury. The scarab helmet looks a bit stupid imho (if you just saw it’s silhoutte it looks like a giant panda head).
Oh,yeah this thread is almost a year old. Needs a bump.

I also hope NIghtstorm 's name points to a possible night map!

I won’t lie to you that this could be the introduction to Princess to many of the fandom, or Cleopatra from the leaks. However I wouldn’t put it past me or put so much hope that they actually would add Nightstorm/Scarab into the game. If not him then definitely the mention of him in the form of a Bad Blood Super Predator, then again they could add Scavage Predator who’s a descendent of Nighstorm. I’m just saying if they do have ties to NECA with the figure added being Alpha, then whos to say they won’t do another deal with them🤷🏻

Princess being a descendant of Nightstorm, therefore being a super predator?
Don’t know how I feel about seeing the first female super predator, and then Princess.

I think the names are arbitruary since Samurai isnt a name nor is Viking.
Not even the lore stats her actual name. Cleo could just be a nick name and same goes for Tiki. They are the last two and both sound kind of off. Could be just developer code names.

The description leak
A sharp bladed disc held in hand. Can be used for quick, effective melee attacks or thrown and piloted via the wrist computer. Impacts with prey while piloting deals massive damage. Weilded by the Yautja known was “Cleopatra”.

Remember this is describing a shuryken which usually is shown under the weapons selection screen. THis is NOT a class description nor is it directly referring that Cleopatra is a class we will be using.

The Skull Cleaver knife describes it once belonged to a Legend. Who that might be? I dunno Billy? or Dutch?
The reference is only a reference.

I dunno what i’m getting at though since the sony blog post did say to look to the Dutch’s tapes to see who might be the next DLC. Well there is the Princess or the one tape prior to that one which describes another predator battle and this one didn’t really carry anything special. Nothing really was said on the tape so the next pred could be an as yet to be named non-female predator. Tiki maybe?

Egyptian predator or a generic name like Pharaoh or something i believe will be the name. I’m just going by the trend of predators we’ve been getting. Beause we can’t all be ‘the Cleopatra’ , its probably just inspired by Cleo which is my guess.

Also Scavage wouldn’t really work as a Bad Blood cause he’s still a honorable dude but respects his heritage in terms of how strong he was and stuff, which makes nearly all others think he’s sus as hell. Cleopatra/Princess being a descendant that wants to reestablish Nightstorm’s style of order would be badass and having a Scavage vs Cleopatra/Princess thing would be awesome.

That is true and considering all the Predators we play as (as we know of) are honorable I think adding him would be easy. Though having a Scavage vs Cleo would be a awesome take maybe the two could be related in a way both standing on different sides of what their ancestor thought was right or wrong
