Still not getting my OWLF recordings. I got the trophy for it and have obtained multiple times. Won several of those matches both by escaping and killing the predator. Also still seeing skins show as new despite having been viewed and equipped.

I was experiencing this on PC. Left SO many times and they weren’t there. Oddly enough, playing private matches with myself I successfully leave with them EVERY single time. Weird bug.
Playing on the PS4 Pro, but will try and see if it works. Thanks!

Were you the first one to pick it up?`I encountered not getting the OWLF recording while picking it up after someone else did. Sometimes I also didn’t get Veritanium after someone picked it up first. Not sure if this was already patched or not.

Ah that sounds like the issue potentially. I think it’s still occurring, at least in my experience.
That actually could be it. I remember someone saying you had to exfill with it specifically but I debunked that because I’ve gotten a few from collecting a predator body. Currently at 14 recordings.
I just finished a game that saved the tape. I only have 2.
The first game that saved the tape, I hadn’t been downed once and was successful exfil. My friend was downed, dropped & picked up the tape, survived with exfil and saved his tape. Both in the same quick match party.
My recent game, I was the 2nd person to grab the tape, didn’t down or exfil, instead defeated the Predator and survived the self destruct. It rewarded me with the tape.
So it seems to be buggy, sometimes allowing you to pick up the tape after you drop it while also counting for you if you survive. Either way you have to survive with it.
These are just from some of my experiences with friends in public matches.
ive collected all of them some of them literally don’t count until i restart the game
and all of them ive collected via extraction except one i got while the predator somehow i suppose if pred lives while holding the recordings he gets it… sometimes
I have the same issue here bro, not sure why, it was ok before 1.06 . Now I’m not getting them no matter who I play and what the game outcome is. It must be to do with 1.06 patch
i think u can get duplicates. i get em sometimes and others they dont show. i suspect those times its cuz i already have it. and the more u have the more dupes u get.

No, I don’t think so. I collected all of them in private matches. Every time it was a new one. If there would be dublicates, I would have encountered them.
As I said, I played with my brother together. He collected them first, I took it afterwards. I didn’t get one but he did. We tried it more than once. It would suck searching for them in quick matches, in a team of 4, just for someone to pick it up in front of you and you getting nothing, if you survive the match. That’s why we started playing each for himself in private matches.
If you’ve collected them all, they’ll still spawn and you can pick them up. But there’s nothing to unlock anymore.
That suggests that it can be duplicates. IE they still spawn even though u got it

I think you’re right, duplicates spawn.
But it is still pretty buggy, because the game didn’t register tapes for me several times, even though I had survived with no downs, picked up the tape first, and had none yet at the time.
I think it’s still gotta be fixed, but I glad that it’s at least working to save the ones I recently have.

hmm its possible that you were just very lucky not to encounter a duplicate but i agree its very strange
No, even my brother got each time a new one. This suggests that it’s not decided during the game which recording/ entry you get, but after finishing it and really getting it (listed unlock after the game). I guess it’s random which you get, but it’s a new one each time.
I’m not lucky. If I’d be, I would have unlocked some mystic trophies for my Predators. :D
I’m deducing a theory from observing. Maybe @Nerdmaid or one of the other developers could bring light into the darkness and explain how they work. :)

Which tape you get is decided when you access it from the extras menu.
When the game starts there’s some RNG that decides what size veritanium goes where and another roll for if a tape spawns, if it does it just randomly takes a veritanium spawn location. It doesn’t look at how many tapes you have.(lazy programming)
