Pak Decompression failed

The amount of crashes I get on this game with this error is just ridiculous. I’ve tried everything, moving the installation folder to 3 different drives thinking there was some problem with one of my drives. Nothing has helped. I keep getting these on a daily basis. Once the issue becomes constant (reboots won’t solve the issue) I run verify and the EGS will reinstall the game. Sometimes it will give an error when doing so and I have to fully uninstall and re-install the game. Already sent the crash logs to illfonic support and received no response from the team (a very typical behavior of software developers, “hey it doesn’t crash on my machine”)

I’m pretty sure if more people here look at their crash logs you will find there is a serious issue with the compression method of Unreal Engine.

For those who are curious, go to this directory “%userprofile%\AppData\Local\SpaceFish\Saved\Crashes”
And under the folders named “UE4CC-Windows-XXXXXXXX” open the “CrashContext.runtime-xml” file with your favorite text editor. Look for this error message and see how many crashes are due to this exact line:
