Parry needs to go...

I don’t want the parry gone. Words are being put in my mouth. I want it to operate differently. At the moment, the parry causes a punishing stun, and a fireteam in coms will give the callout that pred is on them, and one parry will cause the predator to be stuck in place for a moment, and with optimal team members you can effectively drop him to second wind right there. That’s not subjective or and anecdotal, that’s hard numbers. The damage out out of the 4 man FT with the optimal weapons will drop a full health pool pred within the time of that stun. Which is where I think it needs work.

i also wanna point out after i got to level 100 i have been maining predator so as a predator main saying i dont think parry is op and in some cases needed. THATS saying something

You saying it’s only for feedback on fun, that’s not what the word feedback means genius. If they meant how fun is it, that would be a category. Feedback means feedback. Gotcha. Well yes. That’s my thoughts. The stun causes 1v1 and instant death opportunity and I’d like to see what they could do differently with the system.

i dont see why dont they add a system like avp light attack heavy and lastly block light beats heavy heavy beats block and block beats light simple and works great

i’m torn between whether or not a ft member should win 1v1 lol there should be a chance for the last surviving ft member to win, but it should be entirely based on skill. idk how they manage to do that in terms of balance, other than have a mechanic that triggers when there’s only 1 person left.

i agree that parrying shouldn’t really be a thing, but there has to be a way for the ft to fight back and/or defend against melee rushes. if they took away the parry, they’d have to either buff shotguns or generally increase the amount of dmg weapons do at close range. as it is, the serkers are tanky af, and without parry, we’re back at square one with the combi rush bullshit lol

And now, we are having a conversation. Lol. I loved AVP. If the parry essentially blocked an attack, that could work well but we don’t know until we see what’s done. They may just leave it as is we’ll have to see

So Again I’m about to state an opinion so nothing factual just my thoughts, but I’ve never had the berserker combi rush problems I’ve heard about. If you are in communication and they try that, you just wipe them so fast yeah they might get one person down but then just dead. With correct set up and tactics it can work but people have told me he just runs right at the whole team and pulls this off and I’m baffled hearing this.

it was a huge issue in the beta, and the only reason why it started falling off after launch, was because people caught on that parrying was a good counter to it. if you take away the parry, there’s nothing to deter the pred anymore.

I feel like a barrage of 4 FT members unloading mags into his face is a solid deterrent. It’s one of those games where if the team is not on coms, you can get away with blitzing, if they are on coms it’s just not gonna happen. But that’s what’s been happening for me personally so I’m not sure how it’s been for anyone else

You can see the stamina a FT member has… If its full, do not try CQC on him. Assault = NO, Support = NO
Recon = maybe, Scout = YES

But you get parried 2 or three times and think “let’s try that again”?

If you could down FT members that easily, without any real threat to you, what would keep you from rushing a full team and end it in seconds?

And even though parrying works, it still hurts the player

Just be glad they nerfed headshot damage…
