For predators who prefer to specialize in close quarters when the fireteam split its almost impossible to fight someone who can parry almost every hit, I shouldn’t have to rely on ranged weapons and the net gun to kill a guy who strays from the group. The guy stopped every attack I threw at them which gave their teammates enough time to come save their ass, then when you finally kill that one asshole who chases you with the knife they just come back with the FT reinforce… If the games were more drawn out and stealth focused I wouldn’t have to worry about jumping into the FT as soon as possible, you have no choice but to use the bear traps to stop these assholes from hunting you down which sounds ridiculous…

The predator is a hunter, ya have to think like one I’m a pred main and at first I thought as you did, but then I worked around it and I felt more accomplished in doing so.

Yes… the predator is a hunter, you can’t think like a hunter to win. The game forces you to constantly move and probe the FT otherwise you just don’t have enough time and they get away. Please… don’t assume that i’m one of these idiots that can’t win, I can win most of my games as a pred but this parry makes it almost impossible. Its rare that this happens but when it does its almost impossible to deal with.

Did I say anything about winning? No because I know ya win some you lose some. I said basically you need to learn to overcome your obstacles not expect the game to make it easy on you just as the ft players need to do the same.

There’s so much dumb in this post.
How do you win most your games but one mechanic makes it impossible do so? And you feel compelled to make a post for something that’s rare, by your account. What?
If you get parried one time, then a second, and even a third by the same person, why would you even continue doing it? Leap over the person and wait for another opening instead of trying to muscle your way to a victory.

It is dumb that melee combat is essentially busted though. Like it’s not even a choice if the ft knows how to parry correctly

Oh I know it’s busted, I’m just not gonna pander to either side that just expects it to be easy for them.
I don’t want anything to be easy, but again. A whole game mechanic for the predator is void. You literally can not choose to attack someone 1v1 with your wrist blades, even if you know it’s risky blah blah blah whatever you want to say, it’s literally not even an option. No form of combat should be completely useless

Learn to overcome obstacles? If a guy strays from the group he should die… have you even seen the movies? This doesn’t feel like a Predator game at all, yeah the sound is great and the aesthetics are good but the gameplay is not how a Predator would hunt… why can’t people seem to understand this? I’m not asking for the game to be made easy, i’m asking that the fireteam have to actually work together to survive. Once everyone starts using the parry consistently its going to be unplayable.

Yeah you just made my point which is interesting. The ranged weapons are not useless. Yeah. Agreed. Any form of melee combat is against anyone who can parry. Should any form of combat be useless?? Things can be more effective than others, but should anything be completely off limits if you hope for success? Fairly illogical argument that it’s ok for melee to be busted as Long as range is not.

It’s not about stomping players or balance its about teamwork, one guy should not be able to stop the predator from killing them while they are secluded because they can what… parry? I’m sorry but the last time I checked, a special forces team got killed 1 by 1 because they split up.

There have already been discussions about referencing the movies, ontop of that you know get rid of parry a stream of nerfs are coming to pred then there will be something else to be pissy about and if they are alone you literally just gave no excuse for yourself, net melee/ bear trap+melee it sucks but seriously these posts on the same subject over and over get like an old broken record after a while.

Also just for pure balancing sake. It’s meant to be balanced around 1v4. You are meant to need your team. Again, before anyone says “ONE ON ONE YOU EASILY JUST KILL THEM NET THEM REEEE” yeah we know. We all know ways around the parry. It’s the fact that again, an entire form of combat is not an option. You aren’t able to just fight them with melee if that’s the style you choose.

see i dont agree that Melee is busted its got its uses too in those videos im talking about i used the combistick alot its just not my ONLY weapon i use ADAPT PEOPLE

In an ideal world this would work and everyone would get along, sadly this isn’t an ideal world. It sucks that they can parry and as much as they can but people just saying get rid of the parry isn’t likely to happen as much as maybe getting a more stamina usage to parry.
Haven’t said that. My thoughts on the parry are to make it reduce or negate damage from that particular strike. Making it a way to survive longer, and hold him off, not a method of 1v1 killing the predator

Or better yet just replace it with a Dodge that takes a lot of your stamina. That way it can’t be abused, it protects you for a short while from the predator, it has to be timed and it won’t completely screw over the predator and stun lock him.

Just because you can counter something with a specific weapon or gadget does not mean it works, as the game stands I feel that it is much better than the trial or even the launch for that matter. The last patch made some great changes to both sides but for some reason you are always quick to judge my knowledge and skill according to your own, you don’t seem to understand what I am getting at which shows through your ignorance.
