Ok so
With me not having crossplay on, i come across a lot of noobs who dont know how to parry predator attacks
Guys that simple action can win you a match. Suppose you are last man standing waiting for reinforcements when pred comes at you with combistick. You just have to parry enough and stay alive until your team comes back to unload on poor preddy and get him into second wind, giving valuable time to chase him down or complete the mission and head for exfil point.
Anyways this is how to do it:
(You should probably practice in private matches against friends before going to public)
The predator comes at you, likely getting one hit in. If your sensitivity is high enough, you should be able to turn and see the parry action on your screen. If you do, hit the melee button and you will raise your knife or gun to block the incoming attack (melee only, parrying does not include ranged weapons such as bow, Plasma caster, smart disc, etc.) The other way is, you SEE preddy charging at you, switch to your knife with weapon wheel and spam light and heavy attacks. Both are accepted as parrying and you can either 1v1 (not very likely you’ll win except if pred is at low health or you are an absolute god) or spot the predator as he is recovering from the stun and wait for your team to arrive and give aid.
However, do not be surprised if you die, parrying is harder than it looks and can sometimes even cost you your life and/or the match depending if you do it right
