First of all, I want to say that I really love this game and I am that person who doesnt like to criticize, but the fact that a human soldier can parry and EVEN KILL a predator with a knife is just ridiculous… This really needs to be stopped and have to be patched. Im writing this text, because I faced off a fireteam whos mission was to kill me with a knife and dont fear anything. They rushed me everytime I came sneeky peeky to them and you all know what?? I was the one who had to fear and run away, and even that didnt help me…

Premade will always be too strong for pvp games specially in asymmetrical games. It’s completely normal since they have access to the most important tools : communication and organisation.
If you balanced a game around the most tryhard premade you’ll have 600 people playing it at max after 2 weeks.
And as a solo player, i can assure you that the parrying feature is extremely far from being OP. The issue come from predator players that are too used to wrekt entire potato teams in melee instead of using their other tools. Like the net for exemple, which prevent the use of weapons.
There are experienced predator that never let you a chance to try to parry. The parry is a tool that may let the FT punish a lazy play from the predator i would say.

On the other hand, unless you bring the net, you cannot melee. Sure you can use other weapons, but that means if you want to bring the club or sword, you need to bring the net gun. And than isn’t balanced.

nope, melee from the back, side, while they aint expecting it. if u run up to face and try it, yup u guna get parried and thats fine. wait at the side of a doorway cloaked and as they run through smack em 2 times and jump off.
Little bit of poo comes out of them and you live to fight another day, maybe u make em use a health pack… 1 less they can use later.
Not every engagment is “Hit until down and then claim” thats bad tactic.
Wear them down over the 15mins. keep them on their toes etc

A parried attack still hurts the FT member, but going in on a full health/stamina FT member for a melee kill is just stupid. You deserve to get parried and facemelted. I’ve gone up against FT’s and won using melee, with the occasional parry, but timed it right, made use of the tools I have like the PC to nibble away at their health, netgun for crowd control, spear throw when parried and slamming when they huddled together. And was playing as hunter, not as a zerker. Rushers get parried, don’t be a rusher. Timing is key…

Playing as the predator has a big learning curve… It is not something you are going to be good at from the get go.

I still think the predator needs a lot more tweaking, obviously you have players who are average or lower, and some occasions the ones who study the game and learn. But at this point while playing fireteam, I’m winning more than losing, even against all the good preds they get creamed to hell.

PC, and ofc crossplay on, I get no fucking predators the entire time, now I have a 4 man so we get PC preds, still didn’t lose.
