Also you were being honorable and using a combination of both, this was before the patch, and before people started regularly spamming the PC. I too am not immune to using the PC when things get hairy, that video is a great example of skilled player utilizing the PC.

While I recognize atm the predator and his plasma canon is strong I would say it’s only that way cause all other tactics are just not as effective or if you have a problem with it while just nerfing it seems fine what then? Do we nerf the bow next cause everyone uses it instead?
The problem isn’t the weapon it’s that all players seem to feel like it’s the best thing cause no other weapon is worth using against the superior ft equipment now I WOULD like to see Illfonic add more tools and toys or abilities for.predator but until this next patch plays out I am… Pessimistic

I kinda said after they buffed the FT to ungodly levels a few patches ago this would be the normal evolution of the game.

This. Game will always just be preds spamming the best ranged weapons because there’s 0 reason to melee for WORSE DAMAGE WITH NO AOE when FT wins a DPS race just by backpedal hipfiring. It’d be one thing if hits from melee weapons atleast staggered FT (with a cooldown, no permastuns) so they couldnt just empty the clip at point blank range but thats not the case.
People complained about melee combistick because they didnt know how to infinitely parry - it was the only melee weapon that had good AOE and damage and atleast had a niche where it was good for jumping behind two players and getting 2 swings in. Now the first two hits do tickle damage combined with a lower swing speed and this is the result.
Melee is trash and locking yourself in animations for single target damage will always be trash and no one fighting against a good FT is going to do anything besides ranged.

How do you spam grenades? I mean it takes a while to reload the hammerhead grenades and the frags take a while to blow up.

im joking BTW. but FT are OP when its a good team. good team should win but a good pred should have some chance… needs ballance based on skill imo but will never happen.
