I want an option to start without biomask or have a perk that you start without biomask but you will run faster or your energy will regen faster + overload regen faster… something like that… trading perks… or maybe in place of mask you can pick third weapon… bow, elder sword and net gun… but you will sacrifice your mask from the start… i think this would be cool… you can see your pred face in action… from release date my mask has ben destroyed maybe 10 times… maybe… and i really enjoyed to see my pred without mask ☺️

Yeah, I know. That has to do with the game engine, programming and resources. illfonic seems to have limited resources compared to other triple-A developers. Now, there may be a possibility to get up the fps to 60 on the PS4 Pro. But to that, you would have to sacrifice both resolution and graphics detail, which I think they would rather not do.
I wonder if predator will ever be given a parry ability themselves, I think that would be fair enough?
Also from reading these patch notes I’m a little sad that the hand held plasma caster got nerfed a bit, I liked the way it was before. Guess I’ll see how it goes now. Overall with the patch notes it feels like this game is going to be a lot harder against those more difficult pc fire teams now. ( yes git gud, but damn it’s super hard for me lol)
However I guess we need to wait until the rest of the patch is released, maybe some extra stuff will balance stuff out more?
Yep. He may be an 8 foot tall space monster who can leap up trees and rip out peoples’ spines, but he’s also wearing like 2 sqft of armor on his entire body. Against automatic weapons and buckshot. Charging headfirst is contrary to the movies and to the design of the character.
In the end though, what makes playing Predator fun is juggling his toolkit and finding ways to deceive the fireteam, not hulking in and tanking everyone. And winning every time doesn’t make something fun too. And our goal is to continually make the game more fun.

Okay if we’re going by movie logic, then the ft shouldn’t be able to survive a plasma Canon shot or a spear going right into them. and also Melee isn’t vaiable because I get knifed by the whole team and take almost all my health away. What’s that? I should just use range? Well that’s about to be nerfed too so what am I supposed to do as predator? Stealth? Nope ft just gonna lob emp nades at me. I like the game you guys made and I don’t want you to think I’m hating on you guys but this update is gonna make things ridiculously harder for pred then it already was and honestly I don’t think I’ve ever been this upset with a update. :(

Again I don’t think that’s true. Maybe it’s a limitation on the part of illfonic but in the right hands I think 4k/60 is completely within reason on PS4 pro

The last few times a couple weeks ago I’ve been playing as pred I’ve only been getting full pc fire teams. Before I would only be paired to ps4 players mainly, they must have “fixed” something with matchmaking back then. But yes I agree with you

Yeah, exactly. In the right hands, and the right game engine. I certainly hope illfonic continues to improve the game both visually, and gameplay wise. This game still has a lot of untapped potential.
OP my ass they needed a tweak after the predator buffs recently and the side nerfs recently.

If so that’s one of the more streamlined engines.
Well they nerfed headshot damage with the bow and theyre increasing the cost of the energy perks for pred so they’re definitely trying to make players use other stuff which is fine but the thing is the other stuff sorta suck or doesn’t help to take down the ft and even if you down a FT member from range they might just have the self revive syringe and get back up.

Yup, they use unreal engine for this one. But I’ve seen both some good optimised UE games, and also bad ones. So I guess the engine may be hard to work with depending on resources, etc.
As soon as I get the time, I’m going to fix these patch notes with any numbers I can get access to. (but much I won’t be able to).
I’m not sure why Illfonic seems to hate numbers so much. But they seem deadset on not providing detailed information in these patch notes. :(

About time the buff the fireteam. I hope the yautja bane and owlf training is fixed they never seemed to do shit. Seems there is a lot on this that will require predators to have little skill again. All the people bitching are the predators who win with skills only requiring them to hack and slash. It to easy to play predator now. Why i stopped. At least fireteam requires skill and a challenge. Predator was easy and op to win. This seems to level the playing feild again.

🤣🤣🤣 whatever you are smoking, pass that. Fireteam requires no skill at all, L2+R2 and spam R3 in melle and that’s a toasted Predator. Predator requires skill, and if you’re getting rinsed by Predators on a regular then you need to get good. Simple.
