Asides from visiting the epic store and having it update automatically, is there any indicator in files (asides from update date) where I may find the Patch number? Or in the game menu?
Otherwise, there is no indication of it anywhere.

Not that I’m aware of. The Epic Game Store is incredibly bare-bones so far. It is very little more than a digital shop window and game shelf in your home. Pretty serious omissions when you’re talking about a title that will live or die according to its post-release support.
If you find the game .exe file on your PC and right-click, it might have the version number there though.
