Patch Notes 2.12 (Hotfix)

Thing is if the pred had lore damage it really wouldnt be that bad.

cause Itd be like, hey, pred dies easily but so does ft.
So were all good.
I hate that they want movie damage for ft, but not pred.

Like I dont get how these people call themselves predator fans. Theres a lot of them too.
Like why is it ok for ft to shred through pred, but if pred did their actual damage no that’s broken, that’s op.

People forget its a game.
Unless were going to simulate the game exactly, shit has to be fair for both sides.

Idk too many ppl think I’m full of shit, but if anyone has ever played fair arena in dfo, you know what actual balance looks like.

Seriously in that game everything was viable.
Nothing was too weak or too strong.

Thanks @lucky_jax_77 that was actually my point. It took the Preds some time to get officially killed.

I maybe wrote it wrong. English is my second language, so sometimes I butcher it a little.

And the pronounce for me is she. But I don’t mind anyway.

And you make a valid point. It feels like there several inconsistencies in how the damage is in this game. As @Fire points out other games seem to get it right - or least they get closer to something believable.
I must admit that this game is one af the games where I have been the most surprised about some of the choices they have made in terms of equipment, weapons and damage. Some wierd design choices here and there.

Sorry, it was late my local time when I wrote the comment. Correct pronoun noted and corrected in comment :-)

I hope you’re right.

At least they fixed the bow!

Dude, I love that profile pic. Where did you find that? Or even get it?

Thanks guys, make sure you think about making a city hunter map in the future, I am sure you can work your way trough different mechanics such as replacing mud in order to give other advantage when it comes to urban ways of concealment in combat.
You folks have plenty of resources like creative teams.
An idea for the mud replacement would be the urban pipe system in the city structure, the fireteams can use for example things like pipes to shoot and or blow up to cover their heat signatures or something like that. This is just an example and am as sure as well curious to see how an urban area combat zone with predators roaming the building tops and the fireteams in the streets would turn and play out in a confrontation.

Keep up the good work Illfonic, I trust your passion for the franchise, characters and game will inspire you to come out with innovative new content and beautiful crafted levels and art in terms of digital entertainment. I am happy I managed to pre-order the title and so far, aside some hiccups here and there, it didn’t dissapoint.
PS: my city hunter is ready and thirsty for a hunt in the streets of some neighborhood of a South or Cental American City and country or in the streets of the likes of Chicago, New York…? Opportunities are endless.

Fixed the issue where the fireteams loadout resets to default after every single match ???

They said they did.

Ive found an issue with the city hunter and netgun where i wouldnt be able to access the loadout. It would buffer and then go back to choosing from the predator loadouts menu.

New bug with FT.
Running now stops for no reason randomly…
It’s really annoying.

Can you please testify and say if the latest update 2.12 caused a decrease in performance?

I know there will be some problems with each new update. Even the technical ones. Then there are the game errors, but I will not solve this here, it is a minimal topic. This is about the performance of the game. The update was 2.11 cool performance perfect I can not complain about it. Whatever it was. Developers should be much more interested in and address the technical side of the game, not just the game’s minor bugs, although they are also as important as the technical ones. But performance is important to the gameplay and overall controllability of the entire game. Therefore, they should test released updates more and more carefully. And give them more time before releasing the next update. It occurs to me that Illfonic updates are not properly tested before being released to the world. When more bugs appear and the performance of the whole game goes down rapidly. If there aren’t enough employees people to test it, let them pay more attention to its forums. And don’t ignore what’s going on in this forum. And they are interested in the topics that are here for everyone. After all, the gaming community is in a way tested and thus helps to improve the game for the future. And then here players can tell what the game needs to be improved and repaired, etc.

The latest update brought only minimal fixes and no performance improvements. And rather, it added new bugs to the whole game and made the game more unstable in performance. Whether your PC is the latest processor or older. Even on an older PC, I had much better performance than I have now

------Please excuse the need to repeat my contribution. But it is very important that developers know and have an overview of what is happening to the game after the update is released and have an overview of it. And they had a full overview of the situation and not that, for example: out of 100 mistakes, they would know and see only a minimum of 40 mistakes or even less. Which is just a fraction of it. To solve and fix these problems-------

You sure it’s not your controller?
I say that cause that’s a common issue I’ve had with controllers before.

The L3, R2, tend to fuck up easily.
Check it out in other games.
Wouldnt be surprised if its thus fair but wont hurt to check.

This is good, but i’m still waiting on new maps and modes. Come on Illfonic and give the players what we want before this game falls by the wayside to. I’d hate to see it happen again with a license i love

These fixes are welcome. Now can we get more maps or at least current maps at night and a 2 v 6 mode?

I’m sure. I tested with another controller. And it’s the same thing. Also, it started to happen right after the new patch.
Playing as FT it doesn’t make much difference, unless you need to run from the Predator or chase him after he goes second wind.
But playing as Predator, it’s really an issue because it makes you be spotted more easily and if you want to melee some FT from behind and it stops running, there goes your element of surprise.
Therefore, it’s another obstacle for Predator gameplay, as if it weren’t enough…

James Cameron had this with 2 controllers. Opened them up and cleaned the necessary area. Problem solved.
