PC Framerate wasn't improved?

I don’t know about you guys, but I haven’t noticed any “improviments” on PC framerate since last update. Which is a shame, because this game seems anything but heavy. I have noticed a total disregard from the developers with PC gamers. Shame

ya it sucks also i think they totally nerfed texture pop in. plants be poppin in like crazy. dont know if it was like that before but definitely looks shittier to me than it ever did.

Totally see a framerate improvement. that did a great job. you need to adjust your settings to NOT be on cinematic.

i think graphic quality took a dip the main areas which hit fps hard still do (Certain camps). other areas did go up to 120 fps so bottom line fps might have received 5 - 10 more fps I suspect at cost of textures and foliage popping in.

I agree, game still drops the FPS like crazy all the time! even if hit 90fps it drops to 50… Also with the ultrawide support… Im really close to uninstall the game and forget about it… I am super disappointed…

Nope.

i7 7700K @4.6GHz
EVGA GTX 1070 TI 8GB
32GB DDR4 RAM
850 EVO SSD (the game is on it)

Before this patch. I’d only dip below 60 during extractions and its heavy AI spawns. Now it regularly dips below 60 regardless of settings or what’s going on in the game. Didn’t notice any change in GPU or CPU utilization either.

You do realise that people who have 1060-1070-1080-1080ti and so on run the game around 60 fps - 90 fps and its not even properly optimized when going from area to area… Also i would like to mention most of these cards can run Triple A titles with 100+ fps without overclock even… i know my 1070 did run doom eternal at 220+ fps on max settings while not dipping below 200… Not only that but Metro exodus on max ran 70 fps for me while predator on cinematic runs as a slideshow at 20 fps

  • P.S I noticed a lot of people now are complaining how there is no actual difference in FPS going from epic to high or medium… only everything at low gives you roughly 100 fps

i know this is not tripple A but you can run Doom Eternal at165 fps locked max settings and it is a gorgeous game. This game looks like shit and runs like shit. It doesnt run like shit because its fucking crysis it runs like shit because its coded like shit. Its not because its got next gen graphics on cinematic settings.

Indeed, the actual shader coding and foliage coding is all messed up and the actual game assets and animations are hidden below the map which shouldnt be a thing cause it just ruins the performance…

right and much like other games before they are properly optimized all the objects are probably still being rendered even though they are not on screen. so when you look out the map at the edge you have max frames and when you look towards the center of the map you get 50 frames and if there are more objects like the helicopter and other assets under the map that arent being culled but count as rendered your frames tank. that is the kind of shit you see in games that are in alpha. (or on ancient engines, reminds me of dayz

I mean they need to do a thing what no man’s sky has but better i guess lol… I just want to be able to play this game at high on 150 fps as god intended lol…

i have absolutely no idea what kind of quality control they have there. After seeing the new bugs, all the animation and texture bugs we talked about, what they are prepared to scale back (texture and foliage pop in) for ps4 users to have more than 20 fps, they either have no quality control standards or dont have a framework to support a modern gaming experience.

I still think they are running the game on emulated graphical converter from PS4, and the actual PS4 one is kinda worth it for PS4 specs

OH and apperently the fps is fixed almost for 100% of players now lol on PS4 btw

I think yes PS4 and PRO are locked to 30 fps? i know PS5 is going to support 60fps but yeah lol…

And the ps4 users now get their 30 fps btw lol… while pc is still poorly optimized for mid end users and even on high end …

some ps4 games can hit 60 fps, i cant imagine this one is though.
