PC FT lowering graphics on purpose counter

Ok, we all know some PC players do it to gain advantage (with graphics set to 0 its super easy to spot a clocked pred from distance, on some systems you will even see him when he is idle and next to you)

I have accidentally found a counter to this - switch of your cloak!

I had few matches now when I was being sniped from rooftops from about 200/300m distance despite being cloaked. Finally I went in to rage mode, thought “I will kill your ass for that!!!”, disabled cloak and was just about to go in raw… then I’ve noticed their accuracy dropped…by a lot. So bad, I was able to get close and slaughter them, like their PS4 players(no insult intended)

Just tested that against full PC FT. No cloak and keeping my distance for range attacks – maybe a very shitty FT but they did not manage to land one bullet on me.

Try this out in game and tell me what is the result please!

thats bullshit without cloak u are allready a wide open target… its their fault so u were lucky…

4 games with PC FT after me and this tactick works 100% for me. I don’t think all PC players are all of a sudden shit at this game?

im speaking with exp not memorized… Train map they all were at roof no matter where i go cloak or not

Are you running a zerker? That is a big ass target. I only tested this with a scout, any my armour is olive, skin and dreeds are green

I will test further over night, so far only one lost game with a scout agains a full PC FT. I’m starting to think cloak is a disatvantage device planted by FT in our inventory XDDDDDDDDDDDD

I use low graphics specifically for this, and i’ve encountered a few predators that are using greener camo and arent cloaking as much. It really makes a difference when encountering PC players

Wanna know why dropping cloak made you harder to find? Because you only make stupid clicking noises when you are cloaked. A pc player doesn’t need to drop their setttings to hear exactly where pred is from a mile away. So yes. Dont use your cloak. But its not because you are harder to see. Its because you are exponentially harder to hear.

No, but seriously ;-) I made a new build yesterday to test this, and it is defiantly working in my favour. Only time I loose is when I will just drop in between 4 FT.

Can’t tell from FT perspective, quz I’ve never done this, but droping my cloak stoped PC FT from sniping me from across the map. Also made it easy to sneak up on them.

That is a major factor, yes, when I sneak up on them, close range - no sound is a massive advantage. However dropping my cloak against most (MOST) of PC FT has spared me the frustration of being sniped from across the map all the time. Also, I use a scout pred with green armour for that. I belive on super low settings he must be very hard to see from distance

Yeah I run the same. Green or brown locks, armor and mask green, all that fun stuff. even my skin is green/brown.

When I suspect this is happening, I try to not cloak at range. Do not leap at range while cloaked, stay low and use hard cover (trees, rocks, walls, etc.) Most of the leaves are gone.

I think with this last graphic update, a cloaked Predator is easier to see at range at all graphics settings than before.
