PC Joystick/Axis Control

Just putting this out there for anyone who might have a connection with the team at ILLFONIC. Really hoping for flightstick/joystick control support for this game. im using it for Battlefield V,4 & 3. it lets me walk while playing on PC at a throttled speed. running everywhere as a predator is getting old hearing how a predator sounds like an elephant stomping around the jungle, slow walking is more crucial now than ever. my only other option is buying a ps5 controller for my pc, and id like to avoid spending another 100$. Please develop joystick/flightstick support for this game.
Shout out to the art and character modeling team.
Thanks,

They need to make it so u need to bind smth to a key that lets u slow walk to not make noise… @OldKingHamlet @Courier would appreciate if this can at least be added lmao its not much work for devs lol…

on PC in most stealth games or war games u hold ALT to slow walk… so it would make sense if u could hold ALT to slow walk

So, I’ve followed through a bit looking into setting up a flightstick with throttle controll or even with the regular axis control in an attempt to make my character walk slower. no results. I did however come across some pretty nifty stuff in the process.
Through several forums I found that you can download youre flightstick/axis control device’s 3rd party software and do some buttom mapping youreself. This did not translate well into the game. It seems there are only two settings for walking on PC. Either you hold W and walk or Shift+W to run.
I will keep on trying to find a solution in a portion of my free time and will (hopefully) keep this thread updated as to my progress.
In the meantime, if anyone on the inside has any ideas about this?
Im not sure exactly how throttling walk works in this game. but i mean, you can push youre PS4or5 controller’s tozzles a little bit and youre guy walks slower right? Should be able to do the same with an axis controller. Just: tanslate the movement of forward and back the analog stick used for walking into axis control and there’d probably need to be an option to map button in the settings map button settings on pc needs work there are like 30 commands for interact. Heeellllllllllllllp . .

Judging by the IP rights being in court within the next few days, I really don’t think they will bother with expanding support. However if you can’t find a way to work the joystick try a key-sensitive keyboard. I’m using one, wasn’t that expensive to buy, it dose the trick. I can walk or run at all the speeds available in game.

isin’t pressure sensative the same as any other throtttle? the more you push it the faster you go? im not sure how its all set up. i have no knowledge about the subject.

Have a look at the thread I’ve made some time ago explaining the subject ;-)

So that is a confirmed YES, the harder you push the button the faster you go. so. however that keyboard command is translated into the game would be the same as the axis controller, the further up i push, the faster i should go… hmm. looks like the game just needs controller support. im using a logitech ATK3 but there are litterally hundreds of joysticks/axis controllers out there. the game only currently supports console controller and mouse+keyboard (including pressure sensative ones).

Yes, but it does not sprint. Sprinting needs to be set up under another key (shift by default) Also, that pressure data is being translate by the keyboards driver - so maybe its able to translate data from throttles and joysticks? Really hard to say, I’ve never tried doing this before. I can give it a shot tomorrow morning (London time) and let you know

@AEM3 It dose not recognize any other input apart from keybord itself, mayby there is a 3rd party soft that would do that (VJoy?) but I’m not sure if EasyChat will let it thrugh

well. the computer recognizes the imput and i use the throttle to control walking in Battlefield V perfectly, step by step control. i think if there was imput support for axis controller(flightstick) for this game it would do the same. its apparent that the code is there based on youre pressure sensative keyboard.

A fighting stick?..already …what? Thats one joystick less than the controlller. HOw are you going to strafe?

You could use an old Xbox 360 controller and adapter. It’s like 20 bucks.

@ MassImpact124, the only thing I would use the joystick for is just the throttle in order to walk forwards and back at any speed. strafe is still done with A and D keys.

you could even go as far as setting the stick its self up for movement and use x axis for strafe and y axis for forward and back, use it with youre left hand and keep youre mouse on youre right hand for aim.

I have a Fighting Stick too. lol. can’t believe it works. but you can repeatedly tap the forward button W to walk slowly. FYI.

If you have macros, that would probably make it look seemlesss.
