PC Performance best settings

SOOOO, after some testing (5 hours in total) I FINALLY figured it out for all my PC boys. Im gonna keep it short and just straight tell you whats the best settings for smooth, lag free, full gpu usage, without any screen teering whatsoever. So lets start:

  1. new setting direct3D api is actually doing wonders so use it (much better graphic visuals all around without sacrificing performance and high fps even in heavy combat)
  2. v-sync of course must be turned off I hope I dont have to explain why - if you have a AMD graphics card use AMD fluid motion frames 2 for more fps - for nvidia Im sure there is something similiar but I dont know as of right now also if they fix the borderless window mode glitch where it keeps going back to it then you can also use AMD Super Resolution for even more better faster performance
  3. upscaler leave it on standard, use Antialiasing TAA (High) and resolution scale -> 100
  4. all other graphic settings like effects, foliage and all that stuff put it on medium it will still look good and play good
  5. fsr and dlss settings seem to affect the game badly with fsr the game looks not as sharp and more like mobile game and with dlss the visuals are ok but there is major fps drops depending on the scenario
so yeah thats it I now am I able to play PHG 240fps STABLE on my 240 Hz monitor also for some if you want to know my cpu is the ryzen 5 5600x and my gpu rx 7700xt so if you have any questions to me feel free to ask.

Just use DX12 , FXAA and everything else on low. Game looks good, runs smooth. Don’t bother with upscale, resolution scaling, and ray tracking. Is not needed.

I mean yeah you could do that but from what Ive tested this seems like the best settings for max performance

I tested it with both DX12 and DX11. For some reason i have higher fps with DX11, i was expecting DX12 to be superior. DX12 was also stuttery.

DX12 works way better. FSR too.

I guess it will depend on the gpu

Yeah, probably.

You have an AMD or Nvidia gpu?

Nvidia.
My system is:
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor
Nvidia GTX 1660
16 GB memory
Win 11

I think if you press Alt+Z the Nvidia Software will open and there you should find somewhere the dlss option. I remember before I switched from my GTX 1650 super to my AMD gpu I turned on this setting and the performance increased by 30-50% now after some updates it may be even higher, it’s definitely worth a try since it’s free

Hm, intresting. I don’t remember that the GTX 1660 is supporting dlss, but i check it out when i get the chance. Thanks for the info.

Bro, 1660 is pretty dated and low performance.

Dlss is also only available for RTX Cards

My backup gaming PC has a 1660 super and it struggles to give 60 fps @ 1080P even on the most optimal settings

Oh shit yeah you may be right I forgot about that but I think my GPU is older than the GTX 1660 so I think you should have it too. It definitely improves the performance and there also various different settings that can improve the game overall I just don’t remember them anymore since it’s been quite some time that I had my Nvidia gpu

My wife’s PC has an older 1070 Ti and that one actually performs better than the 1660 super in almost every game

That’s weird I feel like this game has some major performance optimization problem which could be fixed if they found out what it is but as I said before Direct3D 12 helps a lot with the performance of the game and makes everything look better

Yeah it is not a monster, thats for sure, but the game is still playable thankfully.

Tbh when I changed my GPU to AMD I had so much issues with all of my games and the performance made it like it was a downgrade instead of an upgrade, seriously. I had to figure all the settings out what they mean and all that stuff around it, with Nvidia you don’t have that problem you just download the newest update on the driver’s and you’re good to go because everything is well optimized already but with AMD man I was fighting with it for like 3 weeks to get everything going as it should be there’s way many options to choose but you can easily also make it worse.

amd gpus are like 15% of the market share. Most games are not optimized for them. I was surprised when this game came out 4 years ago and it was optimized for amd rather than nvidia. Makes no sense to me. I guess is because consoles usually have amd chips.

yeah would make sense AMD upped their game around that time so a lot has changes since then but I remember most people running Nvidia cause they were just superior overall. Also I wanted to see if AMD really improves their gpus and I loved that you had so much freedom with the software and so I changed to AMD and maybe in a few years I will come back to Nvidia but for now Im good with my AMD
