PC Performance Issues (NEW, Got Worse)

Okay basically you can tell by the title and I just want to let them know that they should focus the PC optimizations now cause lets be honest people with mid end to high end can’t even run this game solid 60 fps at cinematic or epic and high is kinda the sweetspot but now lately with the new update the fps is just dying off… WITH that the actual GPU usage is still hitting 100% and overheating to 83c like its running crysis 3 remaster lol while the CPU is sitting at 18% doing nothing…

Basically please do upvote this topic cause this to be adressed for them and to be in the next patch cause this is ridicilous for me and probably for other people…

My current specs are pretty decent (1070, 9900k, 16 gb, SSD) AND no if you think its due to my GPU you are mistaken cause on DOOM without it being capped cause i play on 240hz monitor my GPU usage is always around 90-100% never 100% like the GPU is struggling to max, and it never overheats on games that look good and are hard to run, it does but not above 80c lol…

I see a lot of topic with PC issues now since the patch. I see no change in my FPS at all since the new update. They said they increased performance for both platforms but I don’t see anything changed. I don’t get worse performance at all though.

Ryzen 7 2700x
GTX 1080 TI
16GB RAM
Game is installed on an SSD

I mean its probably due to that 1080TI you got there but not gonna focus on a TI card but generally speaking that in metro exodus i was running on max settings around 80fps which is still 50 fps more than predator game on max, the actual issue is the shader optimizations and folliages, they somehow made it worse but realistically its generally those two broken

Oh no way am I saying the game runs well. It does not run very well at all no matter how you look at it. I get 60FPS on average but it does drop to 50-55FPS in some maps at certain times depending whats on the screen. I have it capped to 60FPS because id rather an average 60FPS then a random 60FPS-90 jumping all over. That would make me super sick playing like that.

I play on a mix of High settings. Textures are on epic and everything else is on High pretty much besides effects quality. Included a screenshot of the settings I use if want to try what I use and see if helps in any way.

Also you have a much more powerful CPU then I do. That should counter out the performance over what I get even with the 1080. I think a faster higher CPU clock will give better performance then a better video card in a game like this.

Dude what the hell you do realise i was expecting you to run above 100 fps with a 1080ti ? This is generally proof they messed up with optimization, i rock similar settings and get the same fps as you but when i go cinematic shadow setting, shit turns to a slideshow

Also yeah my CPU is overclocked to 5.1GHZ which is not making any changes, im literally hitting 71fps avg but it drops to 55fps with similar GRAPHICAL preset

I just ran a bot private match game without any predator. I set my FPS cap to unlimited. I seem to be getting anywhere from 73-103FPS with these graphical settings. I imagine with the predator on screen these numbers would be worse.

Generally, one friend of mine ripped the game files and edited them to see that under the map are game assets which shouldnt be there at all cause that is just pressuring the performance, basically under the map u have like TRIGGER EVENTS which build up when u get close to them or more people die or spawn in, now mix that wth poor optimizations for the shader units and textures, you get poor performance for PC… Like i was actually expecting you to be running 100 avg while hitting 150 fps cause thats what 1080ti should do…

I should note I am also playing the game at 2560x1440. Does impact the FPS by 10-20FPS depending whats happening. But yeah the game should at least run at a stable 90FPS at all times on the highest settings possible on my setup. Settings I have it changed to I should never see less then 150FPS and that’s being very generous on the game.
