I’ve had the game since launch and the optimization for the PC has not yet been improved. I really hate the other issues as much as the rest of you, but the performance is absolutely abysmal. I am only able to achieve a stable frame rate at 30fps, which I can only assume the game was intended to be run at, but I have a RTX 2060 and a R5 2600, and while I understand that these aren’t exactly top of the line, I know that I should be able to achieve more than what I’m getting. I have a feeling nothing can be done or it would have by now. But I hope one day something will be done.

I have an RTX 2060 also and an i7 10750 and i can get 50 to 60 fps with max settings. On vision mode it drops to 40-50.

I don’t understand why some of you with RTX cards come in here bitching about performance. Any RTX card paired with a good CPU will run this game smoothly at well over 60fps on high settings. Either your CPU is crap, or your graphics settings in general are way off.
BTW…if you only have 8gb of RAM, that is your problem. PC gaming requires a minimum of 16gb of RAM.

Got 16Gb of ram my man and it most certainly will not run at 60fps on high. hence the post I made.
Just tested it out and on high it hangs around the mid 50s and high 40s but the lowest I saw it go was 37. The closest I can get to a stable 60FPS is with everything on low, and even then it would still occasionally dip all the way to the high 40s.
Bro, there are guys on here with 1060s running smoothly 60fps on med/high settings. As I said, something is not right with your overall graphics settings.
I have a 2070 super and play from 85 to 150 fps on high settings. So how is your 2060 only getting 60fps on low? I can assure you the game is not the issue.

Yes me. My old machine (6.5 years old) is a Xeon 1241V3 with 16GB Ram and a 1060 GTX with 6 GB.
I run the Game with FullHD, and all settings at high… The lowest FPS drop I had on the new big map with 25fps but only at some points at ths map… mostly i had between 35-50, at the old maps I had between 45-65 fps

Some people are stuck on thinking that this game is hard to run on PC. It only takes a little bit of time to go through all your graphics settings (nvidia or amd) to optimize them manually so that your games will run better. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube for manual optimization of graphics.
I have to cap this game at 144fps (my monitor refresh rate) because at times I get well over that number. So I don’t understand why some people barely get 30fps on low settings.
It’s whatever, let them figure it out themselves. This game is really not hard to run.

I watch them and test it ingame until its runing good and still looks good… (Its great to have but) I dont need 100 fps, i need only a stable and more then 30-40 fps.
and I kill 97% of all FT, againt a Monster Squad Team like you and your friends I cant win with 40 fps neither nor 140 fps…
today you dont need a new PC all 3 years… My old machine is running RDR2 smooth and it looks great… Of course I cant play it in 4K

I just spoke to Illfonic about the issues and I received this reply.
“Just talked to our team about your specs and they agreed that with your setup at 1080p on high that is what they would expect. Every setting that goes lower (especially shadows) will improve the chances at staying at a higher FPS. Not sure if you have a multiple monitor setup but also disabling the 2nd/3rd monitor should also improve the GPU performance.
One of our employees stating they are on a RTX 3090 with a 5800x and 32GB of RAM all medium settings @ 1440p is around 95 FPS with dips into the 50’s.”
