(Predator Main) I used TO play with crossplay until a month ago I had like 5 matches in a row with full PC teams and the Toxicity of their behavior was just too much for me, I’m a pretty reasonable dude at least I like to think so, and at this point in the game I usually chalk up my losses to the fact that my tactics weren’t cutting it or I made a Critical Error in judgement and the FT didn’t. And some of the Most Fun I’d had was facing really good PC FTs but it just seemed to me that a majority of the teams I started to face win or lose were just TOXIC and that type experience over and over just wore me down. I wish I could do private invites to PC so that I could have those challenging matches minus the Toxicity mind you its not altogether absent on PS4 but it seems to me a lot less at least in my EXP

Nah just that PS4 player dont have mic in general
I’ve played against a lot of salty PS4 preds. And then there’s the annoying kids playing FT hiding and screaming on the mic.
In all honesty, I prefer to engage against a toxic pc than to an annoying console kid. The reward when you beat them is priceless.
With all that said, also take in consideration that the “toxicity” might just be a psychological strategy to get you out of your comfort zone. Is a valid strategy, but usually you will find that if you praise them with a GG, they will stop their trolling and give you valuable feedback about your performance.
If your strategy is to be an asshole, then you’re an asshole.

What do you deem to be toxic behaviour?
I play in these ‘PC Death Squads’, and I don’t believe I am ever toxic.
In fact a large majority of the people I play with are rarely what I would consider ‘toxic’.
Sometimes we are certainly merciless, and will punish your mistakes with death.

Its Funny I was reading this today on Lunch break, and then played against them tonight, 3v1 i played as scout to even it up a bit, gotta say they are not cheaters and have mics, when i was standing still invisible and the guy came around the corner and started shooting me right away i called it out saying suspect behavior he immediately called out on his mic saying he saw my blood splatter we continued to have a good rest of the match. I promise you they are not cheaters just bring your A game when playing them.

It’s subjective, so it entirely depends on the persons opinion of Assholes.
I personally think trash talk is fine while you’re playing (within reason) as long as you don’t carry it into the exit lobby. Players who do, or who tea bag at the end of a match, are assholes. It’s my opinion.
Lots of people defend the most vile bs as ok because they don’t really believe what they’re saying, they say it was only said to make their opponents mad, and that’s a valid strategy.
So it’s all very subjective. I was just sharing my rule of thumb.

To me, when someone cannot accept defeat and starts accusing others of being cheaters, that’s toxic
When a teammate accuses you of being trash and that his downfall was your fault, that’s toxic.
Making fun of someone’s aim, gameplay, strategy, etc. … that ain’t toxic.
I deem TOXIC behavior to be when they yell and scream racial slurs and things like faggot and or berate you constantly for the tactics that you use whatever those may be, essentially just making the playing experience unenjoyable because they are losing ECT. Mind like I said its not nonexistent on PS4 but in my EXP it started happening a lot less when I turned Crossplay off but I do miss the Challenging Battles from the PC guys

Well I can assure you none of us behave like this.
There’s only really one guy that taunts the Pred, and he doesn’t use any kind of directly abusive or racist behaviour. He just likes to ‘display his dominance’.
We just simply wouldn’t play with people who were racist and abusive like that.

Like I said it’s subjective. Whether it’s a valid strategy is subjective too, if it’s being used as a defence I think its a weak one. If you’re strategic ability comes down to throwing insults at strangers, it just doesn’t seem like a good look.
You seem like you might know what I mean if I refer to the concept of Face, it would cost you some to make that claim. That it’s a valid strategy. When playing a game with strangers it’s even more important to respect your opponents, as it shows respect for yourself.
That said, I shit talk so… I am polite after though.

Well I appreciate that and may venture back to crossplay at some point, but I mean it when I say it was a day of just match after match after match at least 5 in a row full PC Teams all just ridiculous people and after I was just left dumbfounded at why you would anyone ever behave like that over a game, and TBH I don’t care really if I win or not I just want to have a good time and be a PREDATOR 👍😁
yeah… we don’t do that here. As a matter of fact, one main Pred pulled that shit on someone from our clan and he’s banned now. And none of us will play against him. Shit people are not to be tolerated.

I want a collection of Pred stuff Skulls, masks, weapons. Trophy’s for everyone.
Kind of off topic but what if there was like a DUEL interaction you could trigger where you both have to hold square or whatever key on pc to accept it then let’s duke it out with our fists FT can keep knife if they want but they cant parry punches and kicks it would be just to even out the damage due to Preds having combos maybe you can even charge up a bitch slap to send the FTM flying but it has a long cool down maybe even a grapple mechanic that the FTM has to rapidly stab at you to be released…could be sweet 👍😎
