PDL has a weakness!!!

Listen up people, look sharp!!

So, apparently there is a weakness and a way to deceive the PDL scan so that you are not detectable. Fireteam will think that you have moved on, and this can be used to your advantage.

From my observations, when the PDL detects the Predator and the bright green icon appears on our radar (and the bright red outline makes it even easier to hit the bastard!), if the Predator stays still for a few seconds then the radar will fail to register and it will seem as though the Predator is gone. The Predator can move around afterwards and the PDL seems to be blind to it

I need to do more testing. I will add the footage to the thread once I have edited it properly.

This is useful knowledge, and means adjustments in strategy for players like myself who depend on the PDL to proc Sniper damage buff

Interesting

So, here is what I witnessed during this match with a fresh new Predator. As you can see, I am trying to observe what is happening because this is the first time that I have noticed this occurring

I would be interested to hear others experiences and perhaps maybe I have missed something in the Patch Notes that would explain this better.

GGs to the Predator, screw the guy yeet nades at me lol and I hope the Pred player was buzzing with victorious adrenalin and dopamine!! You’ll be blooded my friend, keep at it!!

I don’t get why people are wetting themselves over the pdl. It sucks as ft, it takes away a spot for an actual firearm and any decent player can spot a predator without it. If it would work with tracker perk then it would be nice (and broken).

As for pred, just ignore it, 90% of players won’t even fire at you even if you are spotted.

The only ft players you should be scared off will unlikely be carrying the pdl to begin with

I had often gotten into a playstation FT with 3 people all armed with a PDL all of them launched their shit in one spot
we all died after we left the area.

Right. It doesn’t work with tracker perk, but it’s easier to re-spot them manually (especially if your spot is tied to your aim button) and still get the 6 seconds.
That’s why I use it with my bolt action sawz in the stealth build.
Recon spotter. Tracker, yautja’s bane and the bonus stamina one. One man killing machine. Keep mudded. Keep in the bushes. Keep crouched. They can’t see you but you can unload up to 8 shots in them before they give up and run away
where your bonus stamina and recon build comes into play.

No shade to anyone using pdl, but it’s like a crutch tryna track and spot preds. I’d rather use my trusty shotgun. đŸ€“

I trust my SAWZ.

As do I
 with my shotgun. 😂

Ill be honest dude, I’m not trying to be mean here
I walked right up to your so called stealthy recon build and wasn’t pressured at all.

Vs people like thunder and beer, I can’t even be in line of sight.

You’re missing something I think but I don’t play ft much.

PDLs are objectively a broken pain in the ass when you go against a premade & they just litter every square metre of the map with them.

Against the average random potatoes in publics, yes, it probably won’t be a problem. Against a premade its a whole other discussion.

As for said premades who run PDLs, they are just crutching and/or dogshit.

Full shade to anyone using PDL. It is a crutch.

is this what you were calling me to be using a macro? because this is exactly what I used against you and you keep saying I’m using a macro. If you consider that a macro well

Then why is it a problem? Your whole post is contradictory. If they are dogshit, pdls wont help them much and that was basically my point

I think Dante, Dutch 87 and support field medics are much more of a problem when potato premades use them. It makes them much harder to kill but not because of skill, but because they can soak up so much damage. It makes engagements feel like you are grinding for damage and it just makes the whole experience repetitive, tiresome and thus, boring

Its not contradictory at all. By “dogshit” I’m not talking about potatoes. I’m calling them dogshit because they are the kinds of teams who are competent but run PDLs & other broken stuff as crutches because they presumably don’t want to risk losing or something along those lines, hence they bring the most broken loadouts they can but act like they did something impressive if they win.

The point is the premades who need to rely on PDLs to stand a chance against good Predators or just use PDLs etc. In an attempt to bully the Predator per sĂ© are scummy and/or dogshit. I don’t want to throw out names but I’m not referring to the average random potatoes who run around with Assault Deadly while using an LMG. That’s where I believe you’re getting confused.

And yes, absolutely agree on the premades who just run Dutch/Dante/Support being tiresome to deal with. The kinds of players I’m talking about run those setups alongside PDLs to have every possible unfair advantage they could possibly hope for.

Miniguns are more annoying than pdls. Ever since they buffed the accuracy and damage its been stupid. You can literally minigun a pred out of a tree like a mile away. Back in my day I would charge head on into a minigun and wristblade spam and win.

I still do charge miniguns with blades and no cloak bc potatoes can’t aim for shit anyway

Depends on the class and build. Assault / Dutch 2025 with Action Hero double-stacking hipfire accuracy with Bane, or Dutch87 with increased hipfire damage passive with Action Hero and Bane are serious issues.

Other classes have to rely on more skill to use miniguns, or else they’re useless. Take the Field Medic clowns, for example.
