People around him seem to have a wrong idea of what a video game is...

Long gone are the days where you had to die 100 times in order to conquer a boss… Now is all about calling out easy modes and nerfing other characters so you can score a win.

i get it, game breaking stuff like damage through walls, indestructible items that lock you in a place, unreachable areas for one faction and not the other, etc., that stuff needs to be addressed… but the constant cry outs for “reduce the health”, “lower the stamina”, “eliminate respawns” etc. just show off how much of a casual gamer you are and how little effort you want to put into a hobby.

I must have played 60 to 80 hours before I managed to kill a Predator by myself. And as a Predator I still have not win a match (granted I’v only played like 4 or 5 times since the game came out, lol)

Yeah I know. Those jobs and families really take away from my video game time. If I only I were as dedicated to gaming as I am to feeding my children. Fuck kids. 😅

No but seriously my life is hell

By the way I actually don’t disagree with you when you say the cries get somewhat silly. I just thought the part about not putting enough effort into a non essential past time was funny

Hahaha… ma’ man I feel you. I’ve been out of the hobby for years and if it wasn’t for the Covid-19 thing I probably wouldn’t be playing this game as much.

But it’s still a hobby. You need to polish your skills to get better and that takes time. Before the pandemic I just focused on single player games where I could switch to easy mode and enjoy the story line. hahaha

Don’t disagree with you at all. That’s why I love single player games that also have multilayer.

No problem man. And I understand. No problem with being a casual. Like I said, I had been a casual for years because of the lack of time. No shame in that. But just don’t come crying because you don’t have time to practice and get better.

I play guitar and it took me years to get some sort of decent performance out of the instrument, but I didn’t go out asking guitar manufacturers to create a guitar I would only have to touch a button to play a song.

God damn you need a hug? XD

Yeah some people just can’t look objectively at things and they cry nerf this buff that and it never crosses their mind that they just aren’t looking at it from the other side or can’t bring themselves to admit that they just need to get better.

HEY. HOW DARE YOU CALL ME A FILTHY CASUAL.
Lol xD.

While were on the subject, what’s the most hardcore thing you’ve faced or done in a game?

I remember fighting chaos for the true ending on final fantasy dissedia for the PSP. Pain in my ass xD, that final boss.

Hardcore
Played the first resident evil without a memory card on a ps1.

I played Ninja Gaiden on PS3. Eventually very far into the game I got stuck in a saved state where my health was almost depleted and I had to face a boss. Never made it past that and eventually stopped playing it. Stupid game… lol

You won’t. No balls.

Those games are brutal

ladies and gentlemen this here is a dbag. dont be like this child.

The problem with this argument is that it dismisses criticism and poor balance in games. It’s essentially just saying “accept the shit you’ve been given”.

Sometimes it can be right and people just need to “get gud” but that doesn’t mean that’s always the case.

Let’s say there is a gun that is obviously unbalanced and can 1 hit kill anything, high rate of fire and other nonsense. Well this argument pretty much says that having such poor balancing like that is acceptable. Which it really isn’t. And I think anyone with common sense will tell you that no, that isn’t balanced and there is no adapting to that kind of bull crap.

There are times where people’s complaints are ridiculous like the remove target isolation posts we’ve all seen by that certain someone. But then there’s a lot that are fair. All it is, is people trying to make the game more fair and fun. Not all of them are whining because they lost.
