I’ve played both Fire Team and Predator and have been on the receiving end of major ass whoopings as both and yet have had good matches where i cleaned up as predator and had a good team on Fire team and we either killed the predator or got out on the chopper. sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. most of the matches i’ve lost i can see where mistakes were made.
one thing not everyone knows all of the mechanics of this game. people don’t realize you can simply parry by pressing R3 as fire team, some people don’t realize as predator if you’re crouched and stay still while in stealth fire team can’t see you. i’ve had people walk right by me and not see me.
Playing as pred, yeah you can’t one shot people with the plasma caster any more. the normal blasts do more damage now, pepper them with shots and weaken them causing them to use their stimpacks. switch to the bow, it doesn’t use any energy and i see people down people all the time with a couple shots from the bow. use bear traps and lure people to chase you after a well placed trap. the pred has many tools to use, so use them
After playing alot of matches as both pred and fire team i understand why they made the changes they made and i’m perfectly fine with them. I’ve been hooked since release date and i hope they keep up the good work.
on a separate note, i hope they add a bot mode for predator to this game, sometimes i just want to screw around and kill stuff with out having to try. which would explain why the fire team usually has to wait for me to show up when i play predator, sometimes i get distracted just killing the AI. anyway a mode where you could play predator and just have a field day with the AI bots i think would be alot of fun.
