People's Understanding of the Predator in Game and in the Movies.

I am not asking for a buff or nerf, all I am asking is that the Reinforcements to be disabled or highly limited.Minimum of 3 minutes before it can be activated, used as a gear and only be used once per match.

No kidding Sherlock but what good is it when they do minimal damage. Yes the plasma cannon can one kill a guy but you then you gotta still claim the skull risk getting killed or try to kill the man healing him but by then you’re spotted and being fired down by mini guys. If I islolated one guy i shouldn’t have to use my whole kit to kill one guy. Then you got the bs perks that make them tanks and easy spot me. Whatever dude I’ve out played guys all with miniguns but the hard work you do to kill them and just for them to respawn again so easily made all that effort for nothing. I’m supposed to be the killer chasing them not the other way around. Aslo most of his other weapons suck.

Also another thing they need to see, either give the Predator just enough time and a opportunity to destroy the equipment that call back the reinforcement, or just give a longer time until respawn, giving the Predator player time to kill the survivors(still think that a supply drop should appear on the map to the Predator to refill his resources)
Evolve had a similar mechanic and it worked quite well, giving a good amount of time to the mosnter player to properly react while forcing the human to be on alert. Maybe it could work with the HG.

Not sure yet of how they could solve it, but the key of success to both side is the Predator picking his opportunities and the Fireteam sticking together and fighting as a group. Maybe giving the Fireteam some sort of way to punish a Predator player rushing towards them, like making the Predator much faster then the Fireteam which would prevent them from hunting the Predator, but keeping the firepower of the Fireteam higher for when they spot a Predator rushing they can punish his brash act.

Omg…dude…give it up. The Predator doesnt have one superior ranged weapon.

Bow: Fully charged does 50% health, plus it reveals the predator because it lights up red.
Disc: Horrible to control, is slow even when at full speed, and you see and hear it coming, plus the predator is locked in position where he threw it.
Cannon: The best weapon, but 1 full charge uses 50% of energy, so you better hope you oneshot with it.
Plasma Handcannon: Forget it, not even worth the hassle, weakest weapon he has.
Netgun: Would be usefull if it actually pinned them down, and took longer to break free, and caused some more damage the longer they stay in it (Lore, it tightens in causing damage)

The Pred is a baby in this game, there isnt even a discussion.

I agree with Jp the scout pred is a little too weak but the beserker is a joke. I’d love to see past the first objective but we sprint to camp as as soon as we get there the pred is always there right away i have no clue what the other missions are even like lol even Dutch got to clear the first camp before his team got ambushed…I’m pretty sure reinforcements can only be used once per game…if I’m wrong then fair enough and yea make the time longer…so that being solved how to intend to solve the rushing preds??

Okay…in response to your first mention of people’s understanding of “him” for one thing its them. Yautja are a species not a single person. When people say Him idk…that’s like saying a super hero is “him” when there are multiples.

Yautja do use guerrilla tactics but their whole species is not like this what so ever. Many of them move in packs. Many of them are shamans, brutes and trappers. They have a wide array of jobs that they do but on earth when they’re hunting yeah they’ll do that but its not the end all be all of how they operate. In the comics and books they move differently. The movies are fine but they’re not what’s been building the actual lore of this franchise at all. Especially not after Predator 2. Now this game calls for those tactics but it’s something that can easily be changed in a different game mode or map.

Too many people and too many people in charge of the games or movies focus so much on the 87 movie like its law when you have 20+ years of stories and books that give you all the knowledge you need about Yautja and their culture on the Tribe worlds and Yautja Prime. I was surprised they even used their species name i haven’t seen “Hish” be used though. This game should involve in the direction of its literature AND the the films not one over the other.

So where in the movies and comics do they run out like cannon fodder?

Smh really… Man this is bs logic. The predator can rip a guys spine effortlessly for crying out loud. There’s no equal footing for a normal man to be able to cqc a predator otherwise Billy would’ve won that fight

What rushing Pred for Christ sake, If I rush I am lucky to get one kill and get to second wind while also waste a heal(If I decide to risk it) while you still have all the heals and ammo in the world to kill me.
Stop spilling stupid shit, no rushing Predator was succesfull if the Fireteam was half focused, while I kill one guy and claim the trophy I was like 5 6 seconds, in 5 6 seconds you empty on me one and half magazine.
I have no problem with this but to do all that for nothing just so that trohpy I claimed to be revived in under a minute with no chance of actually countering this?
What is wrong with pushing Predators, in the second movie it was valid, disable reinforcements and when one soldier dies he gives one health syringe and 100 ammo to every soldier, as simple as that, or at least make it limited to one per match(no, it can actually be called twice, I lived to see it), and make it a gear, you actually lose NOTHING in callign reinforcments, make it that it needs at least 3 minutes to call it and another 1 minute to arrive.
You idiots who defend the Predator as being OK, I don’t think you ever played it, esp not at higher levels when your cloack does nothing, you barely do any damage, if the Fireteam team stick together you can’t do shit.
Predator’s weapons are already shit, I play mostly with Wrist Blades and Plasm Caster, all other weapons except the combi stick are utter shit.
The club takes too much stamina and does little damage, the blase is slow, the plasma pistol is shit, the disc is just horrible, and the net gun has it’s uses but if you miss you just wasted half of your HP.
I repeat, this needs serious rework, I can’t imagine how the devs thought this was fair…I just can’t, you need to be a special level of retarded to not see the differences…

I’d grant you that, if it were not for the fact that Illfonic choose to focus on capturing the feel of the 87 movie. Literally the point behind the game. The Comics and Games have been the main things giving suitable lore, but this game ain’t half bad about that too. (If you’ve read General Gameplay, you’d know what I’m talking about)

Plus, Hish is as bad as the Ultimate Predator or The Predator movie in general. Don’t think why they’d revisit that concept otherwise as a sly reference like Godzilla fans do the 1998 “Godzilla”.

Something that would be nice to help make the game, just a little bit more balanced is giving the Predator a “reinforcement” but only if the predator is killed and the bomb is defused. Add more time to the game once this happens maybe like 4ish minutes, and give the fireteam a new objective escape with the body. In order to do so the fireteam has to find 2 objects that allow them to call a special chopper, but both objects are on complete opposite ends of the map. But the Predator now has 2 objectives get rid of the dead predators body or kill all the fireteam members. So it makes it where the fireteam has to split up a bit, they have to protect the body and get the other objects. I feel like this would make the game more interesting and just slightly more balanced, not much but just oh so slightly.

Yup waste time getting rid of a predator while the fire team escapes or mows you down again with miniguns since they got unlimited healing ammo crates 🤣 good idea.

I’ve been wanting to make this exact topic. But I also say I understand both sides. Yes, the predator’s health is accurate to the first movie, but the problem is that while our characters don’t know what they are up against, we do, so we have the advantage over Arnie and his squad of 7(?) He can’t whittle down the squad 1 by 1 because we know thats the best way and are always in formation. The predator needs a damage buff and a health nerf. He needs to pick his time right, but be able to do it when it counts. On the other hand, the fireteam has too many abilities the move did not. Calling in more troops, Moving spotting (I think it should be easier to spot, but the icon doesn’t move when the predator does.), high damaging knives, and more. There needs to be a nerf to the fireteam except for damage.

It doesn’t help that the fireteam objectjves are quick as hell sometimes and not to mention the fact that predator only gets 15 minutes to kill the whole team and that includes fireteam reinforcements. Fireteam needs a nerf imo and most of predators weapons need a buff melee weapons should be able to be swung faster ( minus the combistick that’s good where it is )
