PHG in Virtual Reality!!!

Hey all! With the newly announced VR2 just being dropped for the PS5 I was thinking how INCREDIBLE it would be if we got a Predator game in virtual reality!

Imagine being the Predator stalking your prey through the jungle in virtual reality and having the VR helmet function the same as the bio mask! Even being a mercenary and moving through the thick foliage of the jungle in VR would be unbelievable!!

How amazing would that be!? What are the chances we will one day get a Predator game in VR or even have PHG adapted to work with a VR set?

Hokey… let me explain why NOT

I play allot in VR (I have Oculus rift set) and games created for VR are amazing - if you ever tried Pavlov or Onward than you know what I mean - absolutely fantastic experience. Boneworks is also a must see title for VR fans. Some games recoded for VR are also very good, such as The Forest, Skyrim or Fallout 4.

However games not build for VR can be not fun to say the least. I’ve actually used a 3rd party soft called VorpX to create a profile for P:HG and test it in VR environment - my assumption was that if the game is build on Unreal 4, which has decent native VR support, than it won’t be that bad…

fuck me it was bad…

Frame rate dropped to about 5 FPS and the fisheye effect made me sick in about 5 seconds. Some 3d randomly turned to 2d and shadows started living their own lives. This title is UNPLAYABLE in VR.
Arcades Predator VR however was build from scratch for HMDS. Don’t know if its good or not quz you can’t just buy it if you are a plain mortal… you need to have a special license.

I can imagine this being hell for the Pred players, as the pinpoint accuracy of the guns will be even sharper. But I could get into it.
