The plot made enough sense in that they needed to find a new home for Kong amd of course there is a alternative motive behind it. Nothing really needs to be explained cause they dont explain anything in any of the Legendary movies so again. Maybe kill a few brain cells off and you would have enjoyed the movie
After part 4 I was like when is this pile of shit going to get to Darkside and it just never happened.
I will watch this movie countless times snyder cut is a one and forget about it

Kotm lighting was fine . Godzilla 2014 was fine in cinemas , but on dvd etc it was dark as hell
