I was recently heavily berated for using the plasma caster too much by a semi popular PHG twitch steamer.
I was wondering, what do you all think is an appropriate amount of plasma caster use? What other weapons would be okay? Just the bow? Just the pistol? Melee only?
They even claimed there is difference between winning a lot and being good.

Use whatever you want who cares. Against PC premades I usually try to get the first guy down with plasma or traps (disk would be better and safer though) cus if you try anything else in most cases you will go second wind. If got a bad ping, plasma is your only option. Salty players are gonna whine regardless of what you use, unless you play in a way that allows them to win they are gonna say trash in the game chat, and I doubt they would perform better if they were in your place.
Iāve been yelled at for spamming the caster, bow, disk, nets, even melee. Just mute them and keep doing what youāre doing.

I think the reason plasma caster gets so much shit is because someone thats good at it canāt be stopped lol š unless you have sniper premades even they have a tough time with it but yeah I mean fuck em at this point who cares they probably ( like me ) got too into it forgetting itās just a game and to have fun

Everyoneās all afraid of Elder Stalker because plasma hurts. Thatās the fucking point. Scout/City Hunter with Analytic is over here doing the SAME amount of damage so long as their name is on the right side of your screen. If you ask me, thatās even more dangerous. But boohoo, Elder Stalker, plasma hard to counter
If you have Down Range and Analytic applied, charged plasma direct hits do 150 damage. Think about that on a Scout and a City Hunter. Now apply Energy Cell or Modified Reserve with Dithered Lens. Gets a lot more intimidating, doesnāt it?
I donāt think console plasma spammers win often if ever against premades.
Think the excessive use of it could be due to the inability to use other weaponry in predator fashion.
Iāve noticed the handheld caster can actually put out decent dps against FT and I choose that, combined with full blast caster, then followed up with melee to switch it up and use my full arsenal.
At this point, with no way to ārateā a killer and no one else really caring about anything else other than winning, there really is a no holds bared approach to this game, which imo isnāt the best.
Would enjoy a post rating or rank you recieve based on how you hunt, by a pre determined set of honor from the game. Could have peer voted and game generated rankings.

Idk man Iāve seen some crazy shit chillen in the bushes lol š non the less thatās why I mentioned the only people who may not have this issue are premade sniper teams but Iāve even seen some loose not often but yes itās happened

There are PC preds that plasma spam the entire match and I still beat them 1v1, apparently winning as pred like that is suppose to be easy but I donāt see it. My bullet spamming is stronger.

So are sniper shots that drop a quarter of your health, well cooked grenades, 11 second spots, literally not being able to out run scouts with double time, campers and the PDLā¦

Itās my go to weapon. Most reliable and best way to pick at ft.
im all range, bow and disk are used just as much. But plasma is the heavy hitter in my line up
And you can literally take away that just by doing 2 sawz shots to the head. Then bye bye 150 damage full plasma shot. Done that. Imagine if the predator could take a away the ft abiltiy to use their primary weapon.
