The Plasma Caster is too weak. 8 shots and they’re still running around without healing. Takes too long to charge a shot. No Zoom! Where’s the different modes? This last update sucks. Do you people even listen to us?

Maybe try a direct hit and charge it? Plasma caster is one of the strongest if not the strongest weapon in the preds arsenal due to versatility and ease of use with high damage and splash

It takes about 2 seconds to charge. If you’re going to use the caster at all, you want charged shots. Quick shots are only for downing an enemy you just hit with a charged shot. 1-2 combo downs most players if you’re using down range.
I suspect your both spamming the caster with zero charge and not making any direct hits. If the entire fire team is only taking splash damage from you spamming the general area of the Fire Team, then yes, it may take eight if not more shots to bring something down… if your lucky.
Take your time and make precise charged shots. It uses a lot of your energy up but it’s worth it. The splash damage also does the most damage from a charged up shot. So one charged plasma strike at the group will benefit you more than ten spam shots.
