I have been seeing an increased use in the shoulder and pistol plasma weapons. Mainly those who want to cheap out of a game and just sit on a rooftop, shoot down on the FT, and down them in 3-4 shots.
I understand its plasma and SHOULD be powerful, but not to the extent is is right now. Possible ideas for a nerf would be limited ammo, reducing effectiveness at far ranges, more energy cost, etc. I want to hear your thoughts on this and see if you’re facing the same cheese I am.

Right, cause you dont have snipers that hit for 20% hp, if not a bit more.
You dont have guns that 1 clip from a single ft, can kill a pred. No not at all.
The ft can totally play range and it’s not cheap or cheese, but if the pred tries to then it’s a problem.
Because unless they’re standing right in the open for you, it’s cheap right?
No. Just no.
In comparison, how many FT members do you see using snipers? I am being blasted from 75m+ away and when a direct impact from the shoulder caster does 50 damage (without perks), that’s when I figure it’s busted to some degree.
Game just unbalanced as fuck 😂

Oh I was talking about me. I’m an asshole sniper. I can shoot off a mask if the pred stays still for a full sec, for the most part, cause it only takes 2 shots to do so.
No joke.
And then plasma becomes useless.
Aside from myself, I dont see other preds who use pc alot. Handheld pc i havent used in a while, but it was fun to use.
The pred is fine with everything they have atm.
Ft can shred a pred np.
I’m speaking from playing a LOT of both sides.
I wouldn’t say it’s cheese.
I’d say it’s a tactic you’re struggling to adapt to.

I’m in agreement with @Fire here.
Any player with a scope and decent aim is going to severely punish any Pred that tries to use his Plasma Caster all game.
Bunny-hopping Plasma pistol is a little more of an issue right now. (Just watch Shifo wreck with it).
I can see how this might be an issue for PS4 players though. Many of them struggle with anything that’s not right in front of them. They generally don’t have the precision to shoot long distance with quick reactions.
Not to mention half the reason you’re seeing Predators stick to range more, is because Knifing/parrying is so bloody powerful for the Fireteam.
Its 2 things.
Over here on ps4, the cloak doesn’t stand out as much as it does on pc. This is why I keep saying the cloak doesnt work as intended on pc. I dont mean standing still, and that invisibility, I mean more when the pred is moving around.
A lot of ps4 players dont use high sensitivity, so you can take advantage of that.
I see them almost in every match… 2 recons and 2 dutches or 1 recon and 3 dutches
Easily melting my zerk health from the distance if i try to peak, and yes i also jump always to try to make them lose track of me but it never works ;)
So not to the nerf
Fully charged Shoulder Plasma downs Recon and Scout instantly. As does a headshot with Bow. I play mainly FT and see no problem with this. Rather have a Pred that shoots plasma at me than just netting all day long. At least I can shoot back ya know.
And when it comes to Handheld plasma, it takes like a full mag to down anything but Scout and Recon… Tanky Dutch and Supports may take even more than one mag. I use the Handheld alot when playing Pred, since it’s the least buggy weapon, ok equally buggy, but it doesnt hurt as bad when yer shots go right through FT without doing damage or fly off in a random direction yer not aiming.
FT is all around more powerful than Preds. Especially when you are close enough that you can actually expect to hit with most ranged weapons. 1 mag from an assault rifle will down a Pred. Hell, sometimes when playing Pred you feel that snipers are downright cheating since they spot you instantly from 300m away and then proceed to put large green holes in ya.

Sounds like someone has a serious case of get good. Im sorry ppl are utilizing the weapons and are avoiding the ft players who spam melee to win. Awww poor ft melee soammer
Basicly, learn to play, make sure you got something between you and the predator as often as you can.
The handheld is pretty annoying but as it is I don’t think they can do much to balance it. The shoulder cannon has a bright red laser you see it move the fuck outta the way.
Wut I don’t even play ft, I play predator with the plasma pistol and I agree with him but if you compare our arsenal to the ft arsenal then I’m against the nerf if they can use .50 cals

@Kobalt_Soul You’re pretty new to the community. Just an FYI, they have already nerfed the Shoulder Plasma Caster and the Pistol Plasma Caster was actually BUFFED since it was just so bad in damage.
