Playing with Fireteam bots

First of all, if you play the Predator and want to play against Fireteam bots, piss off. That’s not the reason why bots were implemented.

Fireteam bots are there to assist a Fireteam player when someone either rage quits, disconnects or you end up in a lobby where people cannot join or flat out leave before the match starts. They will follow you, protect you and help you survive the match.

Behavior

Mudding up - Bots are always semi-mudded, sort of like running the ice cold perk. They will mudup when you do, so you need to guide them.

Attacking enemies - As of now they seem to attack enemies within their viewing distance. They will aim at a cloaked Predator but will not shoot unless it is uncloaked. They will also use their main weapon only.

Movement - They will walk behind you and follow you everywhere. If you stand still, so will them. They also don’t jump, so beware of climbing hills and buildings, they will not follow you and might even get stuck.

Interaction - Bots don’t interact with anything except: bear traps, netgun and downed allies. They will throw one ammo bag when you are very low on ammo. They will not throw health until you have very low health and you have used your syrettes and medkits, if you carry any.

Damage - They deal a lot of damage to the pred, but are highly susceptible to ranged and cloaked attacks. They are highly efficient against a melee rusher who wants to take on the full team without wearing them down first, but otherwise any Predator will take them down with ease using any ranged weapon.

Strategy

As Fireteam your goal is to use yourself as bait and keep the pressure on the Predator. Do not try to use the bots as bait. They are not good bait. They will die quickly. Instead try to use a fast class that can quickly move away from them enough so the Predator engages on you alone. After you die, you will respawn in one of the bots and continue your onslaught.

As Predator, carefully with range attacks focus your fire on the bots and ignore the player. If you do manage to down the player, do not quick claim and instead wait for the bots to come to assist the player. They will hopelessly try to revive a downed teammate and this is your chance to take them out one by one. Do not under any circumstances try to engage melee on all of them. You will die in 2 seconds, guaranteed.

As a side note, when you are playing with a full squad of bots, if either one of the bots or you die, the reinforcement mission is activated immediately. Not sure if is a bug or intended to be that way.

this is all i’ve learned about the AI

they can’t hear beyond 30m
they turn to facethe predator when they hear a predator make a sound within 30m
they do not react to audio decoys
they auto aim if less than 30m they will not miss
they ignore brush up to 30m
they can see a uncloaked predator up to 40m
they run ai dmg + and - perks
assult runs thick skin scout runs OWLF trained
they also run hipfire or ADS speed
if your beyond 60m the bots will not react to you
the bots will attempt to shoot spotted targets they see within 30m
bots can’t see invis predators until 10m
a full team of bots can kill a viking with impen and protectoin and hanging on (maximum possible hp) in 7 seconds
the bots will always try to revive people no matter what
they will throw there bags if someone’s hp is less than 60 or if someones ammo is less than 50%
AI will always attempt to follow a fireteam member who is human no matter what
bots are always half mudded and randomly mud up once someone is dead and will mud up if another player nearbye muds up
the bots might take more dmg from the predator
but without a human player they won’t do anything
they won’t even go for reinforce or do objectives they won’t get on ropes either
they do sprint
the bots now always respond to need health if you are below 50 hp ammo is probably simaler
if you die you can respawn in a bots place
with your loadout fresh this means you can counter pick bad loadout matchups
hopefully this will discourage leavers
bots do attempt to shoot the masks off of the predator
bots also have speed hacks
if they get too far away from a human player
they’re movement speed will increase by as much % neccassary to catch up
practically teleporting i have literally watched the support ai run at the same speed as the scout AI this can trigger as short as 50m distance
if only ai bots are left in QP the game ends with fireteam eliminated
there is a bug where bots can recieve perfect invisibiliity
they do not react to flashing cloak
they do not react to predators cloaking in water
or if your flash your eyes or if you do the roar emote
once a bot has started shooting they will continue to shoot the target until dead or until it breaks LOS or it gets father than 60m whichever comes first
