I have not been able to win a single game as a predator due to the laughable attempt at balancing this game. Even a 2v1 as a predator is impossible (2 brand new players could do it easily). Not to mention every fireteam is using the same class and gear/perks.
And it’s only been like this since night maps. It feels like Fireteam: Kill the predator.
With the way balance is, you’re better off making a ranged build, melee sucks ass, and FT can parry the shit outta you
It’s ridiculous though, everything should be a viable tactic.
If I wanted to, I should be able to bumrush everyone as soon as I can. If I wanted to I should be able to fight everyone in the way that was seen in 87 without having people resurrected.
The way this game gets played is just insulting to anyone who even slightly explored the lore.

I grinded this game hard during September & October but I fell off after the cloaking was broke
Currently level 112
It’s been Fire team hunting grounds since the start. Was at its worst when specializations were introduced. It’s a little better now. But still heavily FT sided (if they know what they’re doing).
Embrace the axe and hammer.
Only go in for single hits then jump out.
Ensure pred specialization and perks assist in your predator gameplay, maybe add a ranged buff (down range) or melee buff (fearless).
Pepper with the caster. (Full charged shots are best).
Never assume the FT doesn’t known where you are, unless they really act like they can’t see you. The FT can track predator literally just by sound.
Predators best bet to staying stealthy is constantly jumping, landing with crouch and always trying to cross up the FT with jumping in a sort of pentagram shape, with the FT in the center of those jumps.
This game is more of a “if this loadout didn’t work, dust your pants off and try another one”.
Continue to do what is successful and ditch what doesn’t work :)
If a team has an AI bot, kill the bot first with as much plasma as you please :)

You can bumrush. I bumrush. Difference is I’ve been playing since launch.
Learn the stats and abilities of the different classes, and what perks work best for them. When you get to 150, Elder Stalker will be your new friend. Unless you want to buy the Valkyrie, slap on Ghost and run with the axe or sickle. Also, what are you doing exactly when you run in for melee? Don’t be like those guys that are spinning in a circle slashing and hitting at nothing. Move and keep moving, jump from opportunity to opportunity. Hit someone, down them, leap away. Immediately come back and do the same on whoever is reviving them. Or use the bow and kill the downed person before their revived. Use traps or net gun to incapacitate. Its fairly easy to win in melee combat against 95% of the teams you will face, crossplay on or off, especially when you have the right build.
Side note: do none of this if there is one or more AI bot on the team. Long-range the shit out of it until its dead. I, personally, will engage a single bot in melee, mostly because I know how to down it quickly, but for your level I would stay away and plasma blast it.

Umm, no. Rushing at 4 FT’s and spamming one button isn’t a tactic, it’s a brain-dead attempt, there’s a difference.
