why take that away from everyone just cuz one or 2 “forgot” to preorder or coudnt.

It’s not unusual that pre-order items becomes avaible later on as a micro transaction.
The people who pre ordered the game got it for free while everyone else have to pay for it.
And in that way making it more “fair” to the ones who pre ordered it.
So never say never. It could happen.
Unless they can’t due to legal reasons.
Like I know that in the game Warframe they can’t re-release the stuff from back in the Founder packs due to legal reasons.

I don’t see why people would rage. I mean especially if it was something they charged $10-15 bucks for. I mean people would pay that. And people who pre-ordered would have gotten 10-15 bucks of in game stuff for free. What’s to be mad about?
The skin is just too iconic to be unobtainable except via Pre-order. If it was an original design, like Savini Jason from F13 I could understand. But locking the most iconic Predator design behind a pre-order bonus doesn’t seem right.

Me either, but they did and do, haha. In that Reddit thread I posted some people got really heated because they want to have the exclusivity if the preorder as they said they was what was promised. I’ve seen rage on Twitter about the same subject as well. I personally don’t get the rage, but people are people. 🤷🏻♂️
Yup. I agree on that. I mean, it is THE Predator mask everyone thinks of first. I don’t think it should’ve been some preorder bonus in the first place. At least a variant of the 87 mask can be unlocked via the lockers albeit it’s hard AF to get, lol.

By definition Exclusive is: restricted or limited to the person, group, or area concerned. And as such the Iconic and “Exclusive” ‘87 Hunter Skin was a major up-sell for players to pre-order.
Anyone who’s a fan of the film franchise, like myself, specifically the first Predator movie — should have pre-ordered the game if it was in their means to do so.
I’m a person that works on advertising and marketing materials as a graphic designer, my job is to design effective advertising messaging to customers for the companies I have worked for. And that entails collaboration with copy writers that write messaging to entice potential customers to engage their brands and products. Companies use the word “Exclusive” carefully for a targeted audience which instills that customers will have access to a product or style that is limited in number; therefore has a sense being special and unique.
For illfonic to use exclusive as a label for the ‘87 Hunter Skin, it was meant to denote something special for pre-order customers to have that has intrinsic value attached to nostalgia from the movie.
They’d be put into an actionable position if they were to give the skin away after the fact to other customers thereby loosing it’s exclusivity and value.

Yeah, I can totally see why some people would be super outraged if they unlocked this content through loot boxes instead of keeping it a pre-order bonus, one has sold 10 already! If this is only the standard edition, even if you subtract the 39.99 price from each one sold, that’s still one heck of a profit wouldn’t you say?
Why you ask? One word: Money!
I would not be surprised if it is made available for purchase in the near future.

Those are scammers, ebay is full of scammers just to get money while their asses is in their bed… alot of my friends got scammed ehen they bought savini jason skin on ebay!! And theystarted to cry. Whoever pay for this is a loser poor soul!!!
No, it has a customer satisfaction guarentee, you could easily just apply for a refund and get your money back, and it has no feedback from the 10 buyers that this is a scam… this is just good ol fashion buy a bunch of pre-orders with different accounts and sell em.

That is bad news, currently for now the pre-order content is only exclusive, but nobody can assure that it will not be released later, nor can I tell you if it will be released in the future but I do want to ask you not to make any purchase of those because you really don’t deserve to lose your money and get scammed.

I have that content because epic gave it to me today, but I was in his situation a few days ago and I understand how he feels. I have no problem that it is released later through a paid dlc for those who do not have it.
What do you mean? You got the pre order dlc after the pre order offer expired?
I received the content for the purchase of the pre-order, I made a refund to buy the deluxe edition and Epic gave me the content because I had the right to get the pre-order bonus.
What I mean is that maybe in a few months you can hopefully buy the Predator 87 Dlc
