Please enlighten me

I don’t say this to poke fun at anyone I am just genuinely curious.

To the people that say fireteam is overpowered but still win most of their matches as predator. How does that work? If fireteam is overpowered (which I as a fireteam main do believe) then how are you winning most of your matches like you claim? That just doesn’t make much sense to me. Is it because you go up against potatoes? I must know the answer to this mystery.

How d you think the Realshifo makes all his videos? He’s got a family of potatoes.

That’s a lot of YouTubers to be honest. I remember watching a bloodthirsty lord video and he kept saying the fireteam he was against was really good but they were playing like complete noobs not even keeping line of sight with eachother.

Some videos i see, i bet they know for a fact that they are being recorded. So either they are real children playing with their father…or they are just limiting their play style on purpose.

I find most ps players to be bellow average l, because im not going to poke, but most are Old ppl who saw the movie the 1st time in theaters or Little kids. The majority of “good” ps players usually run pre-made and also seem to enjoy private matches where they play the same preds so dont seem to sharpen their skill. But there is a few that only play Pub and have sharpened their skills and are overall Great ft players either playing solo or with any number of ft players in their team

Out of the 100+ solo queue matches I’ve played, most of them I’ve come across real good PS players. There have been a lot of potatoes of course but I don’t think most PS players are as bad as you say. At least not from my experience.

Sure most? But I enjoy to run community parties for ft and holy fuck do the potatoes come in droves. I have had my success with randoms but most of the time Im carrying my loot hungry random teammates

Yeah I’d say most. But again there have been a lot of potatoes especially yesterday. God damn I couldn’t catch a break. Motherfuckers watched the predator claim me right in front of them and didn’t shoot. I’m starting to think the AI are better teammates than most of my teammates I had yesterday lol.

Oh I know that Feeling. The worse ones are the ones that see the Pred and just run like wtf

Winning as Predator usually. I find if I don’t get a team wipe or have a team hunting me it’s just when they’re super organized on coms with very well thought out loadout. Frequently they camp too. I consider this the high end of the skill ceiling. At that point FT 100% holds all the cards. But this situation is very rare in quick play.

The answer is still the same: because most ppl are on console and on a not so high level of skill. So good pred mains still win a lot, that’s not the info you’re looking for.
The OPness is felt a) vs the less skill/aware players: you still win but you gotta be way more careful now b) vs the higher skilled ones: you used to have to be amazing, now you need to be a god

So in short it’s because a lot of the fireteam players are potatoes? But the good ones are ridiculously strong. Yeah I can see that being why.

How its always worked basically amounts to.

Fireteam is easily exploitable, and when doing certain team comps (along with skill and teamwork) can be overpowered

However most players either

A cant exploit fully because they are solo queueing

B dont know how to exploit

C simply dont exploit because they wanna have fun.

And very rarely do those who dont play the meta, or arent on a coordinated team, win against pred. Because without certain builds, it can be hard to solo pred. So individual skill means fuckall.

Thats why this debate never ends. Balance is balanced for 4 players dealing damage to pred to second wind typically. So pubs are almost always guranteed to lose. However during the 1 percent of actually fighting good, coordinated players, the tables turn pretty much entirely. People dont like feeling like the game is decided before it starts simply because the balance is ass. (Not saying wins cant happen either way. Just saying its rare for them to)

In most cases they are “good” because they arent letting him enjoy being cloaked at all. Hard to capitalize on breakings of los when you cant strike on your terms because you are constantly getting chicken chased around the map.

The thing that annoys me playing as pred is constantly having to sweat the entire match. Being tense and fearful and etc. Thats how ft should have felt but nope. Its pred. Im constantly on my toes and never feel like I can just sit somewhere and watch the ft. Instead I have to be constantly moving or fighting or running away and its tiring. I just want my damn cloak to be more useful so I can enjoy stalking more. Hate having to pseudo camo myself with skins and shit plus having to use meta weapons as pred because all the others are so shit in comparison. I dunno. I know its a taste thing but I never wanted this game to be as sweaty as counter strike. (At least not as pred). Ft should be the side I play to sweat. (Seems to breed sweaty players regardless)

Perhaps. But that more often than not leads to the fireteam’s death if just one person is chicken chasing a cloaked predator while the others are off playing tic tac toe at the other end of the map. Not the best strategy and a good fireteam wouldn’t exactly do that.

So again it’s basically just a matter of good players being rare?

Premades don’t exactly equal a win. Randoms can be good as long as they know what they’re doing. A full team that knows what they’re doing even if they aren’t a premade can still win pretty easily.

But the problem is there aren’t many of them that know what they’re doing so most predators win. Sounds like the solution to this would be a fireteam tutorial that people are forced to complete once before they can play online. But then that would just make those predators that are winning, struggle a whole lot more.

True. It depends. Sometimes they are all hunting you but they are still split up which is the cases I refer to. One dude chasing is obviously gonna get merked most of the time.

Exactly! I 100% agree. Fireteam should be the challenging role. The role that requires teamwork just to survive let alone kill the predator which should be a 1 in 100 chance of happening.

It needs to feel like the predator sections in the Arkham games where you stealthily pick people off one by one using high tech gadgets and height advantages.

Instead it just feels like the clashing of action figures where the pred is made of weaker material than the fireteam action figures.

Yes but the stars have to align for you to get a good rando team. At least pre patch. Now im sure randos are far more viable which is good. Im happy for that.

Lol yeah you said it. The skill differences range from potatoe to pro. Its a fat gap.

Ohhh do you mean like 2 people chasing the predator down in second wind while the rest are doing the mission? Yeah that’s a good strategy.
