First off…I love the game and it has massive potential once it evolves to where it needs to be. With that said, please get rid of reinforcements. Nothing feels cheaper than ripping out three skulls attacked to a prized spinal column only to have a soldier sprint to a reinforcement mission and revive three previously hunted and spinal column lacking zombie fireteam member reincarnated from thin air and go on to a lazy last minute victory. All because Predator has terrible tracking, no more health, and no time to do it all over again. PLEASE!!!

I agree with your viewpoint, the reinforcements do feel kind of cheap. A good middle ground would be to change the mechanic, have the reinforcement mission revive a single fireteam member, instead of everyone. So the survivors would have to complete separate reinforcement missions to revive each individual squad mate.
Hell yea I agree!!! If you killed at least 3 you shouldn’t have the option to have reinforcements. I’m totally ok with one life to live and only have your teammates revive you…as long as you have a good fireteam you can take down any Pred even the Beserker
i find it depends on the fireteam. An ok one its nice to have a reset and keep the hunt going until the end. a super good team of try hard pc snipers and you just managed to get some kills use all your meds then they revive it can be brutal. i think the mechanic could use some tweaking but doesnt need to go completely anymore. Take one out and let them waste their reinforcements. Im at lvl 62 i did think reinforcements was the worst but the more you play the more you kill it adds length to the matches.
but ya could probably use some tweaking no doubt. ive had shit times where i just got there and 3 of them revived and surrounded me and killed me that for sure feels shit. As I focused more on drawing out the hunt to down people as much as possible, get spear finishers and finishing it at the chopper and less on claiming everyone in the first 2 minutes it started to make more sense.
I agree that Reinforcements is kind of broken. I think it should revive only a single player at most. Also, it should be an event that a brave Predator could potentially interrupt. All they have to do is run to a place, push a button and wait 15 (?) seconds and out comes a fresh soldier. Like, if the Predator had a window to destroy the radio or something before the reinforcement arrives. I don’t know if that would do anything, as 99% of the time when I get the reinforcement notification, I can’t even reach the location before the call is finished anyway.
Yep, they were a terrible idea from the start. Removing or heavily nerfing reinforcements would be a very healthy change for the game. If you lost a team member, then too bad. You should be forced to make do with who you have left.
I like this. Would stretch the match out if you needed to find separate reinforcement points. Anything to lengthen the matches would be great.
I can’t think of any asymmetrical game that has thrived with this level of respawn mechanics. Just throwing that out there. You have to reward the “power” role for doing their job. Someone has to lose, or the game is just boring.
Considering how closely they nailed the look and feel of the original movie - you’d think they’d think of a way to make a reinforcement mechanic work and fit in well lore-wise… I like the idea of reinforcing one person at a time. That could at the very least help with balance.

I agree. With this specification, the predator side should have some advantage.
No dont get rid of reinforcements. Just play better, and smarter. You know exactly where they will respawn. So get in a proper position, and blast them with the plasma caster. I dont think you understand the value of pressure. Its the same thing they do in the martial arts scene. Put alot of pressure at your opponent > he will make a mistake > you capitalize on that mistake. You win.
Here is what you can accomplish. Most ive got is around 11k points, just by allowing them too respawn. Could have finished them way earlier. 4th guy left the game after I killed him the second time.
I say keep the reinforcements the same just give the predator twice as much health decrease energy drain and give them more traps and such to counter this.

Keep reinforcements but increase the time from the 10-15 seconds to 20 (5 seconds can mean the world) and cause the new people to respawn at the original spawn point, not beside the radio

Reinforcements should be different characters from the ones you just killed, it really ruins the immersion of claiming a trophy if the exact same person is back in two minutes.
This should be changed to where you’re a standard NPC with a standard gun and little equipment.
I’m not sure I see the reinforcements as an issue but I can see a few changes they could make. Maybe forcing them to take a different loadout, not spawning with full gear would be good. But, you only get one reinforcement call per game, and if you waste that when one person is dead then if someone else dies afterwards you are then down a person for the rest of the game. The Predator can attack while the reinforcement is happening, so thats at least something. I’ve called in reinforcements and we still got wiped by the Predator.
If they are gonna keep the reinforcements, then maybe when they get called in (if 2 or more arrive), the Predator gets a drop pod from his ship with full health regen, med kits and a new mask if you have lost it. Essentially resetting the match. Giving the fire team a second chance to try, plus it should force the fire team to change the way they play to beat the predator or it will end the same way.
Reinforcements need be remove or at least changing from: revive all team to revive one marine. Here is the recap of my last game with pred (lv 50). Killing one with 6 body shot of bow (2 full charge to take down and 4 to finish fast, with the perk buff of range weapon too), then killing one more with combi. Then I must go away to heal myself and in the time I get healing fire team have just called reinforcements 😂 and obv I cant rush 1 vs 2 with 30% hp. This mechanic is so broken!!
I think reinforcements should be kept in but not in its current form. Keep it as a radio a surviving player has to activate, but then have reinforcements come in a chopper at one of the corners of the map, not just teleport in on the spot.
