PLEASE get rid of REINFORCEMENTS!!!!!

to weigh up my answers out of context, obviously not understanding them or not wanting to understand them, just for the sake of resistance and not for the sake of the matter, then to argue with insults is just childish

Reinforcements makes more sense the better you get. It should still be tweaked somehow though. Ive encountered bs situations with it that made me call for its removal but as you get the hang of it its an ok (not perfect) mechanic and extends the match. It makes sure someone has a chance to get back in the game instead of being claimed in the first 2 minutes and thats it for them…

It pays to down people continuously without going in for the claim until they are out of revives or claim one and let them use reinforcements on just 1.

The hunt needs to be drawn out as long as possible to conserve your gear and get max xp. Its not meant to really bum rush in the first 2 minutes try to claim everyone and then having to use all your heals then reinforcements arrive. If some escape some escape. I prioritize surviving over not letting them escape.

That being said i wil agree it really should have additional mechanics like most other things in the game to even it out and add some dynamics to it.

@Toaster that’s a great idea… But still for that to work properly some tweaks need to made to OP FT… Or the predator needs to receive more heal kits…

This is a asymmetrical battle royal, right? you, as a pred, killed two fireTeam members and you get away with 30% HP - pretty asymmetrical, isnt it?

OK, you find no piggys in time and no MedkIts left, you missed the right radio spot - ok, i hear you, its not the same anymore, you cannot act and rush like before, dont you?

The Fireteam is in an constant threat at the start of a match- chances are very low … but now, it gets symmetrical!
Thats exciting in the first place! enjoy it!
Despite all necessary balancing stuff which surely is needed - this situation in fact should - MUST - stay
And to be more precise, not every match will have this situation, how often you’re in exact same situation like this? This is no reason to nerf and or buff the sh’’’ out of it

you know there is that fireteam mission where a whole trainwagon must be lift up and gets placed somewhere else - that is a hell of a fireteam situation, unbelievable firefights with npcs at the same time; that is so supereasy for the pred; what should Fireteam say about that?

They should do like they did in Friday the 13th with Tommy Jarvis, you call in reinforcements and one person spawns as Dutch.

Reinforcements do need to be changed but I think removing them isn’t really needed. I think that they should make is so that if it takes longer to reinforce and if all members are killed while reinforcements spawn then the reinforcing cancels and the predator wins.

Allowing respawn with no gear and no perks + standard weapons would be a start…

Maybe a good idea too nerf is that if you destroy the radio turret fireteam can not revive, so it means that if you run fast to the point (even with few hp) you can counter that. It’s risky for the predator but is the only way to deal against a 1vs7 game with health stick refreshered. That one, the reworking into only one man revive or the total remove are the only way to balance the game. I can be wrong, but right now , it’s just too easy to win because of reinforcements mechanic.

*Reinforcements

cooldown ranges from 15 seconds to 1:00 minute, this gives the Predator enough time to actaullly counter it.
limit of revives: -if 3 players are alive they can only spawn one team member.(1:00 minute)
-if 2 players are alive they can only spawn one team member.(45 seconds)
-if 1 player is alive he can spawn only two team members (20 seconds)
(in this way, the Fireteam will think twice if they want to use Reinforcements now or later)
can be used only once per match
-Players are respawned with only one medical syringe and only the primary weapon.

I think this is way more balanced.

Yes, as-is, Reinforcements is much too one-sided for the FT. In sheer attrition, most times the Predator simply can’t keep up with the numbers-game. I don’t think it needs to be entirely removed but I’d like to see an alternative such as:

  1. Reinforcements only returns 1 (randomly-selected) player, with full health and gear
  2. Reinforcements returns all dead players but with reduced (50%?) max health and no gear
  3. After calling Reinforcements, an additional, mandatory side mission spawns somewhere on the map. This would be clearly marked (much like the optional missions that sometimes show up) and can be completed at any point but must be completed before the FT can call in for extraction.

The point being, if the FT gets a chance to reset some of the Predator’s progress, the FT needs to be faced with some similar form of set-back.

Just some ideas.

Okay that’s great for you and sure you can own an inexperienced team any day but fuck off with martial arts man it’s a game, them getting unlimited respawns and predators only getting two heals is bullshit, but good job on the kills

I like your random statistics? 2 out of 10 matches my ass…

When you manage to kill 2/4 guys and you have 30% hp you have two options. Either your go for the whipe or you leave to heal.

Option A: You either win, or you leave with second wind to heal. Squad gets refilled, and you start from the beginning with less heals.

Option B: You leave now, and while healing, again the squad is refilling, and you start from the beginning with less heals.

So either way the fireteam gets respawned. So basically the “balancing” favors rushing the objective and not extending the whole experience. So there is no point pushing them up until the end where you just go in for a mindless “all-in” fight without any tactic. Now if you do go in before the reinforcements and you manage to win, then you reduced the length of the match, getting lower xp, effectively rushing to the end to finish as fast as possible. Completely eliminating the “Predator feeling” and reducing the whole experience.

Point is to have a long match and to have as many interactions as possible while lowering resources so that eventually the reason you win or lose is based on skill.

There is only one viable way to play Predator, and that is with Berserker, combi-stick and perks that give you damage, and reduced incoming damage. Scout class is non-existant. You either rush or die. And that isn’t at all how the Predator feels and works.

If they nerf revives they have to find a middle ground so maybe give fireteam a bit more health,defense, or just reduce how much gear they spawn in with since thats all people really care about

It’s not that, we just don’t want to play COD with a Predator mini-boss. That’s what this game is currently.

This is the biggest problem, yes the predator is awesome now how can you make fireteam that awesome? So people want to play as then exclusively? Cuz its not with this unbalanced bullshit where the fire team blatantly gets every advantage and walks through every game its weak game design and i really cant believe this came out as a game without any core.
People want it like friday the 13th? Wow i dont think that was the vision, i dont think this is either tho and sadly i dont think this company cares they got more money then it cost to make this “thing that is almost a game but isnt” allready and we get to go back and fourth about what it could have been like.
Im done on it unless there is some major changes this game doesnt have long it started day one without vital signs its a stillborn.

Im merely explaining how pressure works. Which applies in alot of situations you can encounter in life/ videogames in general. Its such a weird statement too say this team was bad. Same thing happens in other games. Its never a person just playing better then the others, its always someone is worse. Thats a shitty attitude really.

Despite the fact that 2 of the fireteam member died like noobs, the gameplay perfectly represents the current state of reinforcements. You kill two or three then you go away to heal your self and you come back for a 1vs4 one more time with less resources while fire team member have all their kits reloaded😂

Yea but sometimes you wipe them so fast your like omg go get your reinforcements its not terrible honestly just make the game longer
