Ok, so why do you care about cosmetics then? Just play the game. By your logic, cosmetics don’t affect gameplay, which they don’t, then just play the game and enjoy it. The amount of time you’ve spent on this forum is at least equivalent to 3-5 levels, each level giving you 3 crates, so 9-15 crates, 3 items per crate means 27-45 potential new cosmetics you could’ve earned. Not to mention the amount of veritanium you might’ve gotten depending on how many duplicates you got could’ve bought you a cosmetic you want.
Please make cosmetics purchasable with real money

I actually never called you anything except “Crippled in the Head” and I have actually apologized for that as it was unwarranted and was a play on your name than you yourself.

No you’re good, its just another example of how his logic is flawed.

I’d also like to point out that you’ve been in this argument for about four hours now. That’s about 16 rounds of playing FT solo in privates. At roughly 5k VT a match (depending on how much you earn at the end plus whatever you’re able to pick up), that’s a total of 80k VT. Add on at least another 5-20 depending on if you can complete the daily and weekly in solo privates, that’s well over 120k VT, more than enough for a ton of shaders, even Mythics.
So for someone claiming they don’t have free time, or that they’re life is so full they can’t grind for the currency to buy what they want, you sure have it to spend here arguing instead when you could actually be grinding."
It doesn’t mean I never have time, it’s just that due to my life circumstances I mostly don’t have time or enough time for all of this gaming / grinding stuff.
Today is Friday evening, I’ve got time now, but I decided to use that time to make a suggestion to Illfonic and it blew up in this thread, I still have time so I continue discussing this because that’s what I choice to do with my time right at this very moment.

Yes cosmetics don’t affect gameplay, they don’t affect whether you win or lose. But they’re a very fun part of the game, however the current model that is in the game to get those cosmetics could be better with more options thus me suggesting the “buy with real money” option in this forum :)

And if you have circumstances in your life that prevents you from playing, fine, we all do. But don’t insult us by saying we don’t have lives because we have enough spare time to play some rounds or grind in solo compared to you. The game doesn’t cater to you, you’re not special. It caters to all of us, whether we have time to devote to it or not.

I know I’m not the centre of the universe and that the game doesn’t cater to me personally, that’s why I’m suggesting more options that WOULD cater more to people like me without affecting anyone else :)

Cause I could give you a very good estimate of how many I’ve played in the 4 weeks I’ve been playing

I’ve got the game as a monthly PS+ (I play on PS). As I said before I play a couple of public matches a week, there’s so much I haven’t unlocked. Especially all those expensive things that cost 25k etc…

More options is fine, but it defeats the purpose of an in-game currency. Going back to what I said, older games used to have that system, where you had to work for what you wanted. Just like, how ironic, real life. EA and others were heavily criticized for the use of lootboxes, and a lot of other games, especially mobile ones, are also today. If Illfonic did ANYTHING right with PHG it was removing that option entirely.
And let’s be honest, man. You’re telling me you don’t have 30mins to an hour at least to chill and play a few rounds and make some money? It doesn’t take long to get $25k, which is the most anything costs.

Idk it just doesn’t add up, meaning that I go to college, have a job, have a girlfriend, and make music, but yet I was able to get to 200 with a hefty chunk of cosmetics unlocked. You also didn’t answer my question as to when you started playing, I’m not asking for specifics, I’m just asking for an answer like, “like 2-3 months ago”, something like that

I agree the RNG loot boxes should be removed completely. If you want to go the “earn everything yourself” hardcore route then you’d have to make each and every cosmetic unlockable when you reach a certain level (like weapons and such), otherwise all this cosmetics variety looses all of it’s point. But I’m proposing a better idea (which all of you are so illogically angry about) is having the option to buy the cosmetics with real money while keeping the old in game currency / box system.
Those who want to “earn” can go ahead and grind away, those who don’t can dish out real money and get it now. Neither of the players get any gameplay / mechanical advantage or disadvantage with this system.
