I still dont see it being an issue when i play fireteam… all i do is hide in the buildings and stay mudded…

If he goes for melee rush i stick to my team and just parry him.

Can’t hide forever if you plant to do the mission. Pred will just wait for those FTs that take a peak and then it an arrow straight between the eyes. But still, those are good temp solution to see if Pred will bite and go ham.

Recon

  • thick skin
  • ice cold
  • dexterous

There are no repeating perks, but any premade should do just fine with this setup.

  • everyone has at least 150 health
  • everyone, except support can mud up quickly
  • assault and recon can run objectives and Dutch and support are tanky enough to protect them

Gear would be in order of importance:
Field syrette
Medic bag
UAV
Frag Grenade
Smoke or decoy grenade

TLDR: limiting perk effectiveness won’t hurt premades, it would hurt randoms that accidentally choose the same perks.

It would hurt both not only randoms.

Randoms are btw learning too from all the games since patch 2.03 and 2.05 of only fireteam.

They have been mostly 90% meta perks… which is bane lmao…

Dutch 87 : Yautja Bane + Tick skin and you dont need anything else, this class is broken. They have to nerf hp from 155 to 145 in my opinion.

Also what u have just described is smth that would only work if they decided to go for role or class lock before matchmaking…

Sort of evolve system where u get in match with preferable class…

but if they add this… then everyone can literally run like only dutch and recons xD…

So ur idea would break the game and not fix it… it would only be a fix if they went for that evolve matchmaking system.

Would bane be fair if it were +5%?

(Edit: I see you already suggested that. At 5% and 6 perk points, picking that would be fairly short sighted and non intelligent. Maybe +5% damage for 3 points. Just to end the complaints.)

You all are so hung up on bane. It’s not even that great 90% of the time.

I’m arguing against the idea of limiting perks.

It would be fair if it wouldnt stack xD…

As in allowing the players to kill pred quicker with less ammo consumption…

But yeah i mean idk… what ur trying to achive with ur idea… the idea would be great for evolve like matchmaking but with the current one i doubt devs would even think about it… devs are just doing it totally different.

Your idea cant pass unless they literally make it fully evolve like where each class is unique with their own perks and guns and gears xD

As far as, stacking perks, they don’t stack. It’s not like if two players have OWLF trained, they get 16% damage reduction.

It stacks tho? Its harded to kill all four of them if they all run with it?

The point here is… team work… they act as one… and i think its fair to say the perk system is fairly unfair to the predator cause predator is only one and he is allowed 3 perks as well as each fireteam…

So i will repeat again… it only 2 people are running the same perk then the perk bonus shouldnt change and should give out exact damage…

At 3 same fireteam members the perk should start sort of bottlenecking and limit it self to give out better bonus due to all of them running the same perk…

And if u think thats unfair, its not cause ur supposed to stick together and die together…

Yeah. Just like everyone running support. But then they are all slow. The negatives stack, too. The whole purpose of the perk point system is to make sure you can’t have it all. Even Dutch with thick skin and bane has some downsides, especially gear, mud up, speed, and interaction time. Even if it is a problem, the obvious solution is to reduce the perk bank from 11 to 10, definitely not nerfing the effectiveness entire fireteam.

Theirs no wrong part about this you can’t go wrong I’ve been wanting this for both fireteam and pred since beta

I like it to be as realistic as possible (with a lot of cut backs tho)

So, how would this work if the whole team took Thick Skin?

The way i see it… it would be adaptive limiter…

Once 4 members are fully alive… the dmg reduction is less and predator deals the same damage to everyone that has it if they are in his way… example combi stick…

Once he kills one fireteam… the dmg reduction increases… slowly upto the actual perk bonus…

and when there is one guy alive… the perk will basically be fully 100% bonus…

That’s not how thick skin works. It gives 25 health.

So, how would your system work if everyone has thick skin as a perk?
