With the news of the new Predator movie coming out along with the news we’ve received up to this point and how close the movie is….do you guys think this movie will Succeed or Fail?

Money wise probably a mediocre at best , just hoping that it kind of jump starts the franchise interest again cuz the last 3 were crappie
I don’t think any pred movie is a big draw anymore. But if it’s actually good, it would certainly be a step in the right direction for the franchise
After The Predator I doubt many fans will have faith in this movie. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t know.
Depends on how they will sell the idea of a young girl killing an alien that happens to be an advanced hunter. I still think this gender propaganda has gone too far, but I could accept the whole deal, if they sell the idea properly.

Predators having named actors/directors/producers in it and still failing was the nail in the coffin for this franchise financially. Interest in this 80’s premise franchise just isn’t there and hasn’t been for minute now. There’s only so far you can take this basic premise before ending up in cheesy fanfic territory in general.
Nevermind whatever the hulu audience is and who’s expected to click on the girl in goo warpaint poster out of random interest.
Has the same problem of a lot of modern movies that feel free to alienate their original audience since its something low budget on a streaming service.
Basically the same problem this game has, being a low budget, low faith contracted thing so they can just make set money.
I hope if this movie fails the creators don’t use sexism as an excuse like some other movies made in recent years.

“Oh you didn’t like our movie and purposely made our box office prices didn’t meet its goal??? WELL YOUR SEXIST!” Pulling a Disney & Star Wars card, I don’t think the movie will be absolutely bad but I definitely think it won’t do amazing either.

The risk factors are very low. Interest very high. Commitment to being in the theatres? Zero. So the film is being streamed. Which means everything is profit. So long as we all buy it on hulu. which isn’t likely. hahaha
They probably will try to sell the crap out of this to investors. likely they will break even.

I mean I got Hulu & Disney Plus so Imma see it regardless. There was also the case that we all though Covid was gonna be a lot longer and I think so did they. So their committed to the streaming of this I guess
So am I, but the Trailers definitely gave me some chills of excitement along with the news that come out now and then

There is also two versions. One in english and the other a dub in the native language?..

I heard a hard R was the goal but they also said a PG could be in the works if it worked out. My guess is the investors are already lined up.
They better not with the PG, unless it’s old PG which should have been PG-13 to heavy R.
Also yeah then saying they’d add Comanche Dub was a huge plus in my opinion for those who wanna feel like their in the time of that period.
I liked the idea too. Makes it very authentic and a period piece without compromising story.
Chuck avp , avp requiem and the predator were awful
AvP movies were saved purely by being made during a period where schlocky Versus movies were a fad.
And then AvPR killed that anyways.
